I sort of hate to ask, because I feel like this has been answered before, but I can't find it.

Is it possible to install a Schroth Quickfit 4 pt harness in an R, or in a GT350 with rear seat delete? Or is it safe to say that rear seat delete means you need a roll bar?

Has anyone installed the Schroth Quickfit in a GT350R/RSD GT350?

When I look, the problems are:
1) center belts need a cutout
2) side belts will be "uncontrolled" without seat base and rubbing against non-structural trim panels and a different angle rising from the floor

Basically, it doesn't look like a good idea. Easier to put the seats back in for a 4 point, or use a roll bar and forget the Quickfit.

TIA.

Funny, I just finished putting them in my R last night.
You will have to order 2 rear seat belt buckles(they cheap $9 each),
notch 4 holes in the rear seat delete and trim both panels a little where the front
outer belt attaches to (this has to be done on any mustang)
I have Sparco Pro2000 seats in my car also.
It's kind of a toss up, I like the fact I can remove them when not racing
but it was more work than just putting in a harness bar and regular belts
I'm planning on doing a full cage, just wanted some extra safety for the time being

I installed the Schroth Quick Fit Pro my 2018 GT350R a couple of weeks ago. I purchased a 2017 rear seat buckle (P/N FR3Z-6360044-AB) and a set of self-tapping Torx-50 bolts (P/N W700883-S450B) which come in a bag of 4. The bolt holes for the rear seatbelt receptacles are under the rear seat delete cover, which is easily removed, but you will need to make holes through it for the new harness connections to pass through. I used a 1-1/2" circle saw bit to make two clean cuts.

And I just ordered an anti-sub belt from HMS Motorsport because I think the waist belt rides up too much when you use the Hans device.

I forgot to mention that the 2018 buckle will not work with the Schroth harness because it is a different size, hence the 2017 buckle. I cleared this with the folks at HMS.

I used a dremel to make the holes in the rear seat, little by little then I cut a small slit in the fabric.
I tapped the 2 outer rear mounting holes (M10x1.5) for the Schroth mounts and mounted the OEM seat buckles with the self tapping screws that come attached to them.

I'd go 2016 on the belts. According to Cody at HMS the rear belts were changed sometime during the 2017 model year. I used 2016 on mine and it worked fine.

There is a screwdriver-like pry tool you can use to pop those fasteners off, but if you pull on the trim piece it will pop off.

@MGT350 are you able to use an anti-submarine belt with the Recaros in the R?

I’ve heard you can’t. Would be great if you can do it without changing seats.
