So the Detroit Auto Show will be the official reveal of the GT500. Will it be revealed as a 2019 or 2020 ? That is the question .

Ugh.. I expected it to be revealed by November-December not Jan 2019.
I’m pretty sure it will be a 2020, if it was a 2019 it would have been revealed earlier. And since it will be REVEALED/PRESENTED at NAIAS I expect it to go for sale by the second quarter (let’s say April?), at the same time than a 55th anniversary package/trim I guess...

Ok so Detroit auto show January 2019 reveal... wonder how much longer it will take from then until we see units rolling into the dealers? Mid-year 2019? End-year 2019?
Either way, it's a long ways to go and if you're putting a deposit with a dealer now, it's going to be sitting for quite some time.

It could just end up being Ford does its own online reveal? They've been doing things a bit differently lately. I honestly think waiting that long to debut and to do it with the likely reveal of the ME corvette would be a poor business decision.

Depending on how crazy Ford Performance has gone with the GT500 it could warrant it's own reveal like the Dodge Demon. Even more so if there are different configs for different primary uses. Sounds like we might see a drag, track and all around variant of the car either via option packaging or designated models like GT500/GT500R/GT500KR.
