Correct, octane adjust is there in case you get a tank of crap fuel. It has nothing to do with the learning process of the tune. The OEM calibration goes through a learning process as well. It is just how the ecoboost cars work.

The "OAR" function most certainly can be turned on or off in the procal tune. By default it is off. Which as far as I can tell just sets the OAR to -1 (best gas).

With OAR off I was unable to get any data from the 3 or so knock sensors during logging. I have since turned it on, and that data can be observed.

:paddle: come on frpp release the 18 tune revision:frusty:
Wonder what the literal fk the issue is?
The PCM is different for prior years and it's like starting all over again. That's what I've been told by people at both Cobb and HPT. Also, most people are probably newer to the EcoBoost stuff but it took FP forever to release the '15-'17 stuff and it was pushed back over and over again. I'd hope it goes a little better with the '18+ stuff, but given their track record, I'm not terribly optimistic.

I am finally able to get the ProCal Kit, but would appreciate some guidance on where/how to order it. I am located in the Bay Area, California, and cannot for the life of me find a place that stocks it (every dealership I have called does not seem to know what I am talking about, or does not stock it) so I do not know where I can buy it for a more reasonable price than FordPerformance's $725, nor where I can get it installed to maintain my warranty.

Would really appreciate any guidance. Thank you

I am in the Bay area also. Most seem to get it from levvitown. I personally got mine through CJ pony parts, I paid $550 at the time with a 5% discount. PM me and Ill let you know where I got mine installed. I didnt bother trying to install it myself and have a shop sign off on it, even though I easily could have.

Serramonte Ford in Daily City is the only FP dealer in the area. They stocked them when I picked up mine a while back.

You don't need to purchase it from a Ford dealer, and you don't need a Ford dealer to install it. Ford Performance will honor its warranty as long as the tune is installed by an ASE certified mechanic.

You can read the details of the warranty requirements here.

You can purchase the FP tune for a bit over $500 online here.

Thank you everyone- I ended up ordering from Levittown Ford, since with shipping costs included it ended up being the cheapest for me. I'll PM you lizardrko regarding details on where to get it installed

Also, Redcruzer, I called Serramonte Ford as it is a little far from me to visit at the moment, and they said that they do not have it in stock. Thank you for the suggestion, though

Yeah, it took 15-17 eco damn near 3 years.

I got 35500k on mine and just got a check engine light. Talk about timing. Engine is running like a clock and turbo is fine. Likely just a emission or sensor crapped out.
