Sure, you can mod and certainly easy to do with forced induction...may or may not have warranty implications. I was offering my particular perspective with stock comparisons.I obviously owned may M3's and I can tell you that the new turbo M3 which I considered before buying the GT350 can be a beast with a bit of help (software).
To put it in perspective, no way my GT350 will keep up with my 335xi off the line, and maybe it will even never catch up...
M3's chipped are even faster .
