What would be the purpose of eliminating the evap? Also does anyone know if there are any gains from porting a '17 IM?

So I’ve since my manifold swap I’ve noticed there’s a whistling noise coming from my air filter when I crack the throttle open. I have a BBK CAI. It happens at low RPM’s when the throttle plate opens up from part throttle to more open throttle. I wasn’t having this issue before I swapped, but now it does every time I open the throttle. I have double checked all my vac lines and the noise is definitely coming from my air filter. It only occurs for a second then stops.

Has anyone else experienced this same thing?

I should have logs from both manifolds. I’ll check them and see if there is a difference on the VVT
I'm too lazy to prove it to everyone but I can confirm the 18 manifold VVT is different. Looking at two of my logs right now.

If I'm to believe the airflow numbers, they seem close until 6000 where above that the 18 gets a good 3-4 more maf in lb min and continues to hold.

Just some news from a guy I follow on Instagram. He locked out the IMRC because he has a pro charger. He also says he left both blue connectors unplugged and is tuned with Lund. Lund told me as long as the plug and play kit for that Imrc They can tune out the other code for not plugging in I guess the one or two blue connectors. Definitely still interested in a Y connector because I don’t like the fact of leaving things unplugged. LOL or at least maybe a dummy plug.

If you delete the imrc then there is nothing to plug anything into anyway.

i believe you'd still need to splice / adapt the blue plugs as well if you're running the IMRC PnP harness. other than soldering them together, i'm holding out for a pnp solution to that too, or re-pinning them.

Well acording to some people ive seen run the intake, they leave one or both blue plugs disconnected and tune covers rest.

That being said id be up for a dummy plug or a y connector.
