Hey suggest using baby oil. I would look for an alternative that will not gum up the intercooler or the MAF. There are oils or smoke oils designed for this.
Do you have any specific oil suggestions? I can't find much info on the internet, seems like everyone uses baby oil or mineral oil.

So I picked up the car Thursday after having new spark plugs and Kooks 1 7/8 regular catted headers installed. Loaded up the new tune and car is running better than it ever has.

I have about 40 miles on it without any CEL and have been averaging 16+ mpg with mainly city driving.

There is a local car show at Wilkes University coming up on 4/15/18 where you can purchase 2 dyno pulls with printout for $35.

I'll keep you guys updated with how I make out on the dyno.

well mine is doing better. I have not been looking at the trims but did a road trip and it did not go into 5lb limp boost this time. Millage is ok and it feels good just a couple areas where it stumbles on tip in

Mine is better too but low RPM stumble/hesitation, especially after decelerating or on tip in, is still there (albeit better than it was with the old tune) and annoys me to no end.

I replaced my cats and O2 sensors as recommended by Whipple. I'm waiting on a new MAF I ordered from Tasca. I also ordered a smoke machine to look for leaks. I'm trying to get everything as honky dory as I can before I ask Whipple for more help.

I think it's fixed!

Smoked the intake and associated air plumbing to look for leaks. I found none. But there is finally a silver lining!!! I took a chance and bought a new MAF. Now the car runs pretty well. A slight trace of the stumbling on tip in, but all in all she's a different beast now! Part throttle is insane! Driving it has the same thrill I had when it first went in. I have to get used to the car all over again as the throttle response is very sensitive!

I took apart the MAF to see if it was dirty inside and to see what makes it tick. It was spotless inside so I'm a bit mystified why the car ran bad with it. No codes BTW.

Oh well. All's well that ends well!

I also had some funky things going on with my procharged car a few weeks back. Was told I had some symptoms of a bad Mass Air so I thought, Why not give it a try and I also had great results, very pleased to hear I am not alone!

I am sure youre glad you didnt drive the car off the cliff now with such a simple and cheap fix

Keep us updated!

Whipple is installed, stage 2, 132MM TB...and hesitation under low throttle tip in :( knock limiting is still on. I'm going to log and see what knock looks like, turn the limiting off and see if any change.

I have the poverty class stage 1 and I didn't get the updated tune, but it has done the hesitation thing since the day it as installed. Apparently aftermarket tunes clear it up, but it's not worth it to me.

Yeah I'm gonna consider an aftermarket tune if I have too...Just hoping that maybe I'll get lucky with a few changes but not sounding like it according to everyone else who is experiencing this.
