My trims were +20 with the old tune. Now with the exception of around 3k rpm they are in the -2 to +5 range most the time. 3k for some reason is +10. Fuel trims work well to tell if there is a leak if the tune is correct in the first place but the fact that mine moved about 20% betweencthe tunes kind of proves that it can’t be relied on in these situations.
True but your car is acting a little different then the guy I replied too, also whenever when u. Change the tune and the car was having fuel trim problems before u changed it,there will be a big difference in fuel trim munbers. It takes longer then most guys think for the pcm to get learned data to get correct fuel trims.Stft are corrections that are right away but, again but they will change also as ltft data is learned.

I have put 300 miles on the new tune now. what I see at 3K cruising is 10+ and a positive STFT so it wants to go even higher. All other areas I have watched look ok so I think there are some issues with the injector map myself

Why not remove the Whipple Supercharger from the intake manifold and check all the gaskets to make sure you do not have a vacuum leak?

do any of you guys have hptuners and the ability to do detailed logging?

if you go with a custom tune I would go to palm beach dyno.

have you guys looked for exhaust leaks?
I have HPT

Is this something I should be worried about when I buy a stage 2 kit for my 17?

Second this. Pull the blower and throttle body off and just make sure. I'm not sure how hard it is to do on the Whipple but it can't be to complicated. I always stock a spare set of orings for the Kenne Bell just incase I need them. Are you sure that everything is torqued down properly and there is not a small leak?

I downloaded v3.01 and today it says v3.03 is available but it won't download. Says server error. What's the difference between the two?

In trying to find, and fix my own mysterious fuel trim issues on my car NA I first found a purge valve that would stick not always but I was able to find at leat one instance where it was wide open even unplugged. This obviously let in un-metered air. Car still wasn't right. Not wanting to put a supercharger on a car not perfect I finally had the dealer look at it during the last oil change. He is ordering 2 new manifolds, and cat / pipes. The 350 has a bit of flex tubing and both of mine have exhaust leaks. The leaks are not consistent and it was part of why I was pulling my hair out.

I hope you guys find your issues.

Ok, well now that I said everything was great, things suddenly go wrong.

Add me to the list of people who suddenly had the tune change on them. Yesterday, my fuel trims were less than +8% while cruising down the interstate just maintaining speed. Today suddenly, I see +17% on LTFT1. While accelerating, they drop into the negative numbers, it's just weird that cruising they are so high. I'm also getting 3-4 degrees of positive knock when transitioning to full throttle. The only thing that changed was that today was a pretty warm day compared to the past week.
It seems to be a false alarm... I got a new tank of gas and the issues improved right off the bat and the car drives like it did when I installed the new tune.

This exact thing happened to me. New tune felt great for the 1st 100 or so miles on a spirited drive. Then all of the sudden power was way down. I started to experience stumble/hesitation on tip in on 5th and 6th gear and boost went way down. With the windows down I can now hear a whistle when it should be getting into boost. Never heard that whistle before. All hoses appear to still be in place. Took it out again today and sure enough it is still running like crap now. Still have the whistle and little boost. And a terrible stumble on tip in, especially in the taller gears. I did do a crank relearn and knock limiting is off. I'm on 92 octane and it was about 45 degrees out both days. 3.75 pulley.

My theory is the bypass valve is getting stuck open for whatever reason.

I am going back to the previous tune until this problem gets worked out.

Update. So the problem I described above continued to be present for about 5 additional days of driving. I then performed another crank relearn and problem solved. The bad stumble and hesitation I was experiencing in 5th and 6th is gone. There is still an occasional stumble on throttle tip in in those gears but now it is now better than the prior tune. Feels just like after I first flashed the new tune and everything was awesome. I'm probably at 500 or so miles now since the crank relearn and all is well. Dunno why the crank relearn helped since I wasn't getting any codes or anything like that.

Well, while we are all posting updates, I can say that I haven't seen fuel trims as high as I saw on that one warm day, but it's been cold and I haven't had another warm day. I ordered a budget smoke test kit to look for leaks, and I'll update if I find something.

Budget smoke test sounds like a good thing to have. Do you have a link?

Hey suggest using baby oil. I would look for an alternative that will not gum up the intercooler or the MAF. There are oils or smoke oils designed for this.
