Where is this guy getting these numbers from? I’m just curious as I’d like to look into them further. Does he ever cite sources?
Like millhouse said, it’s a pay site to look at the records. The guy on the other forum has access to them and posted them. I can’t see him making up the numbers as anyone can check if they wanted to. There are two ways to sell cars, retail and fleet. Retail there close, fleet Ford is king.

They aren't close in retail. The first two years of the 6th gen mustang kicked the first two years of the 6th gen camaros ass in both retail and non.

Going off 6th gen vs 6th gen at same time. First year was killer for the Mustang, so it would of still kicked the Camaro butt if the 6th came out the same time. But the last two years when they were competing at the same time.

The second year mustang sales still was ahead of the first year...brand new, alpha is God chassis camaro. It took until the end of the third year for the camaro to finally catch up.

Last years sales were comparable, but let's not pretend the first two years didn't pile up a huge sales advantage for the mustang.

So no, overall sales are not close.

except the fact that everyone who reviews says its got super car performance for half the cost. only special thing about thr gt350 is the motor, which if you take a look at the gt350 section isn't the greatest for reliability. and tell me how Ford's chassis and suspension are better, the zl1 best it, and please leave out the oh is supercharged crap you should like camaro guys towards the terminator, the zl1 can be had cheaper then the r, by a good margin, and still beats it, and let's not compare the track zl1 1le to the track gt350r. only thing ford does better is daily livability.
Oh my.... let's go through this one at a time:
1. They say the same thing about the GT350... hell, the GT350 beat out plenty of supercars (and the SS 1LE, I might add) to come in second for best driver's car
2. only thing special is the motor? Come on now, you can't be serious
3. Please explain how GM has a "better chassis", I've asked countless Chebby guys this, and not a single one has been able to answer me.
4. Sure, the Chevy best it (by .4 seconds) despite having over 120 more HP, and you're going to tell me that it's because of "superior chassis and suspension"? Give me a break
5. ZL1 is only $1000 less than a GT350R. So, you're telling me that they should compare a $70k car to a $60k car just so one can have a clear advantage? Oh yeah, totally makes sense
6. Yes, ford does daily liveability better, and is up to par on just about everything else. I see no problem there whatsoever

please your not touching an r for 60k, and I'm the one saying to match your amazing gt350 against a ss 1le, I'm not afraid to put your more expensive super special gt350 against the 1le even though it's way more expensive and i'm betting you'd be disappointed with results, and the r is an all out track car with carbon fiber rims and no back seats and it got beat by the street zl1, you guys keep crying about putting equally equipped cars against each other not equally priced cars so the gt350r and zl1 1le are the all out track versions offered and going by price an r is what 80 to 90k so ya more expensive

please your not touching an r for 60k MSRP, bud. ADMs are irrelevant to this conversation., and I'm the one saying to match your amazing gt350 against a ss 1le again, a ridiculous comparison. The GT350 will obviously win, as it should being a solid $5-10k more, I'm not afraid to put your more expensive super special gt350 against the 1le even though it's way more expensive and i'm betting you'd be disappointed with results Get off your high horse, bud. we can all tell you've never been within 20 feet of a racetrack, and the r is an all put track car with carbon fiber rims and no back seats and it got beast Did it? Pretty sure the mustang won that comparo by the street zl1 Oh, you mean the one that costs the same and has 125 more hp?, you guys keep crying about putting equally equipped cars against each other not equally priced cars When did we say that? Cars should be similarly priced and similarly equipped, as in around a $5k split and all the major amenities being similar. No, an HUD or puddle lights don't count as a "major amenity" so the gt350r and zl1 1le are the all out track versions offered Yet one has intense aero that makes it illegal in other countries, has suspension that makes it too rough to drive on the street, and still has over 100 more HP. So, if you're going to try and pull this shit to be "apples to apples", lets add a supercharger to the GT350 so that neither car has a significant, blatant advantage and going by price an r is what 80 to 90k so ya more expensive again, ADM is irrelevant in this conversation

Exactly. The lead Mustang built in those first couple years has proven insurmountable for the Gen 6 Camaro. Further, if December 2017 and January 2018 foretell what is to come, the Camaro is in a pretty bad place considering Mustang outsold it by a more-than-two-to-one margin during the former and an almost-two-to-one margin in the latter month. Whether the 2018 refresh or incentives on 2017s are to be credited, I don’t know, but I’m sure that Ford will take it either way. Hell, the Challenger is outselling Camaro in some months now. No amount of spinning or cherry picking of figures can change that.

how is adm irrelevant, no one is buying that car for msrp and i guess the hellcat would destroy them all around the track since it has more power right, power means nothing without being able to put it down. and ya ill bet a 1le will beat or at least tie a gt350. And your 100% right I haven't had a car on a track and never claimed to have doesn't mean i cant compare cars, if that's the case guessing half the people here couldnt.

how is adm irrelevant, no one is buying that car for msrp because we're talking about performance here, now how badly a dealer is going to try and rape you on the price. all you chebby guys hated people bringing up ADM when the Z/28 came out, this is no different and i guess the hellcat would destroy them all around the track since it has more power right, power means nothing without being able to put it down again, it's quite obvious you've never been within 20 feet of a racetrack. The GT350 and ZL1 have similar handling characteristics, with the mustang obviously having the cornering advantage, as it falls back only .4 seconds despite being down 100+ hp. and ya ill bet a 1le will beat or at least tie a gt350 more evidence to your lack of track experience. And your 100% right I haven't had a car on a track and never claimed to have doesn't mean i cant compare cars But it does mean that any statement you make regarding track ability is strictly on a 3rd person perspective, as you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. That being said, no, you shouldn't compare cars if you don't know what you're talking about, if that's the case guessing half the people here couldn't Half the people in here don't make outlandish claims like you are right now.
Now is a good time to acknowledge that phrase from my last post

first off not a "chebby" guy, have had way more Ford's then anything, and ya were talking performance, but since the gt350r performance cant be had for msrp ya it matters, and since I'm not allowed to compare cars cause i haven't tracked them then can you, I'm guessing you haven't brought any of the 6gen camaros around a track so you can't comment on them either. and how it an outlandish claim when gm said they were aiming for the gt350 with the 1le ss

first off not a "chebby" guy, have had way more Ford's then anything seem to be pretty adamant at talking down on fords, though, and ya were talking performance then why do you continue to talk about ADMs?, but since the gt350r performance cant be had for msrp ya it matters Sure, it can be... that's what MSRP is for, and since I'm not allowed to compare cars cause i haven't tracked them Never said that, I said you can't speak on track prowess when you don't even know what track prowess entails then can you Sure I can, I spend plenty of time at the track, I'm guessing you haven't brought any of the 6gen camaros around a track Wrong, drove a 2SS and a 1SS 1LE at the track. see what happens when you assume without having first hand experience? so you can't comment on them either Sure I can. and how it an outlandish claim when gm said they were aiming for the gt350 with the 1le ss It's an outlandish claim because it's already been proven. They were pitted directly against each other at Laguna Seca for best driver's car.
Are you just going to keep going, orrrrr.....

got nothing against ford I think they build a better looking car, id have a pp2 on order if they wanted to work on a price, and that race was the gt350r against the ss1le, which it only lost by just over a second, I'm talking about the regular gt350. and based on losing to the r by just over a second you don't think the ss1le can beat a regular gt350

got nothing against ford I think they build a better looking car, id have a pp2 on order if they wanted to work on a price They will, you just have to know the system. I'll be getting into a PP2 premium with recaros for about $48k OTD if I add the package on, and that race was the gt350r against the ss1le, which it only lost by just over a second Just over a second is a fairly large margin on a track like LS... Hell, that's THE SAME MARGIN seperating the GT350R and the McLaren 570S. There just isn't that kind of performance gap between the 350 and 350R, I'm talking about the regular gt350. and based on losing to the r by just over a second you don't think the ss1le can beat a regular gt350 again, speaking on lack of experience. That 1.6 second spread is a lot more than you think
I guess it's just hopeless at this point :headbonk:
