For the folks that did the resonator delete, how did you attach the heat shields back to the straight pipes or x pipe (whichever way you went with)?

I like to disassemble things.
When I added Borla's exhaust I used clamps for the long shields and welded the two small shields in place at the rear.

Thanks! What type of clamps did you end up using?

Also, I believe the stock pipe is 2.75"?

I used large hose clamps to reinstall the shield on the shifteck x-pipe

The real question that I have is if I need to use clamps specialized for exhaust or any 304 SS ones (t bolt for example) will do.

Borla supplied clamps for the main shield. Exhaust tubing OD is indeed ~2.75".

Does the R comes with a heat shield?
Yes.

Any clamp of the right diameter will work. Stainless are obviously preferred.

Yup, they work just fine. It just holds it in place there's no pressure on them.
I am more worried about those bolts loosening up due to vibrations and heat cycling.

I don't see any heat shields on this picture of the R exhaust sans resonators? When I installed the Corsa X-Pipe, the heat shields were not installed- my understanding is that resonators retain heat unlike pipes so heat shields are not required?

I have been watching many videos on YouTube and gt350 with resonator delete still sounds different than the R. It seems like the R sounds more deeper and louder.
