Was driving down the highway and BANG! A rock hits my windshield and leaves a small crack at the top of the window. Two days later that small crack becomes a massive line straight down then back up like a giant U. Already have an appointment to get it fixed tomorrow, but has anyone else had the windshield replaced?

When the dealership delivered my car, it had a pretty significant chip in the windshield. I called them and took it in the next day for a replacement. All has been well since!

Yep I did went with Safelite and had them put the OEM glass back in. Far more expensive but I wanted it.

Had mine replaced by Safelite, I made sure to get the OEM glass because I wanted it to be back to 100% and without the Ford logo that wouldn't be true.

I have had my rear window replaced twice. It was around $250 each time with labor. Now it was aftermarket but who cares.

Had my replaced, got a crack the very first day I had the car.

Rock flew up from an 18-wheeler on the interstate.

Cost me $300 to have it replaced with oem one from Ford.

I did. Called Safelite and hey wanted over 500 i called another place that advertises a lot and the local ford dealers use. Got it for 350. No Ford logo cause i didn’t wanna pay 50 extra for that.

I had mine replaced on a 3 month old car. A minivan threw a rock and it cracked and kept growing, Safelite Auto Glass replaced it with a factory windshield.

I had it replaced under insurance and it cost me $200 total for an OEM replacement. You can't even tell it was replaced.

Your in FL, run it through your insurance and it's free for OEM replacement. You get 3 per year per car in FL, but that's one reason car insurance is so high.

I'd still be careful with that one. I opted to pay for mine because I'm still young.

Even though it's covered with no deductible per state law and they can't raise your rate on you, when it comes time to shop around for lower rates, they will still show as a claim and could impact your results.

The main rear window or side 1/4 window?

Haha - that's what I was wondering as well. Up where I live, you're crazy not to put a $100 comprehensive deductible on your car. If it's not rocks, it's ice, flooding, etc.

...Mother nature hates us sometimes.
