Other than changing the swirl slightly, it shouldn't matter much. If intake volume and velocity are similar, the power output will be similar between 2 intake manifolds. It wouldn't shock me if they just used the GT350 manifold to justify the increased price for the Bullitt package. It will be interesting to see some results with both IMs on the 2018s.
Does the IM change the sound of the car much? That may have been a reason behind it also if it gives it a more classic sounding V8 sound. My knowledge about IM's is limited to ported 4.6 v4 ones.

Excited for you guys that were waiting for the Bullitt. Looks like an excellent car, a little more power and looks amazing.

Not really no, unless it's a drastic change (which it isn't). They did it all in the exhaust.

Those are the same level of change as green stitched interior panels or black Bullitt style wheels.

Green metallic paint costs the same as blue metallic paint
A Bullit style wheel costs the same as a PP1 wheel
A Bullit logo airbag costs the same as a pony logo airbag
An active Bullitt muffler costs the same a regular active muffler
A Bullitt grille costs the same as standard GT pony grille
etc

The only things on this car that I could imagine actually costs more to procure than their normal 401A PP counterpart are the manifold/throttle bodies, air intake, painted brake calipers and chrome side window trim. Maybe the shiftknob.

And yet Ford will or sure find an excuse to charge 3 grand for the pack, which in part of course can be explained by the fact that they need to recover the costs for development of all the unique parts and keeping reasonable replacement stock on them. With a one year production run those costs need to be coverd by a relatively limited amount of cars.

We'll have to see
othing with a Bullitt logo on it would be the same price as they are made in much lower quantities and batches. There is great savings in producing in mass quantities. That being said, the price difference for each of those small items would not be enough to make a huge difference.

Talked with the marketing guys again today and confirmed the Electronics pack wont have the autonomous braking or adaptive cruise, just the BLIS and rear cross traffic detection. Basically, they packaged this car perfectly in my eyes. Also got to talk with the owner of the original 68 car, which was super cool.

I dunno, man... My biggest regret on my 2016 GT is not opting for one with the ACC - long trips on the turnpike would be worlds better since it’s my daily driver... Autonomous braking, yea, I don’t care much about that since I don’t trust it not to randomly freak out at low speeds anyway :p

I'm getting more and more happy about this. Did they specify anything about the audio?

Haha noooo, I felt too bad to even ask him if I could touch the car. If by some miracle I was ever offered a drive I’d baby it like the 4.3M piece of history it is.

Hey, those background pictures look familiar ;)
