I would think at this point it’s kind a late to make major mechanical changes to cut cost, they would have to go back and re-test and tune everything and it would just be more wasted money. Unless they were just going to cut things that are cosmetic, I think it would all be a bad move though.
I hope your right on that but that's not the feeling I get.

I remember somebody from Ford saying there would be "X" amount of new Ford Performance vehicles by 2020 or so (can't remember the exact quote), but this is how they'll get it.

Be ready for the Fusion Sport to change to Fusion ST and they'll slap Ford Performance sill plates on it....

Well take this with a grain of salt, but I just heard that the GT500 won't be at Detroit. The source isn't always reliable though, but at this point it sounds like the Bullitt was supposed to be Ford's big "surprise"...
