I think pp is wasted for most people . We change wheels , we add our own suspension and most of us don’t track our cars hard core

Brakes, torsen, rear gears, chassis stiffening, cooling...

All that remains even if you replace the wheels, shocks, springs. The package is still very valuable. If you like back road driving and have any inclination of track or autocross, it's 100% worth it.

BmacIL is exactly right. There's much more to the Performance Pack than the wheels and suspension. Blue PP without a question.

Whatever you do, get a PP. Color is a personal thing. PP rocks

This right here. Although I’m not a fan of the orange if I was in the market for an 18 id have to premium just for the dash. If you plan on upgrading anything I’d go for the premium as well.

that lightning Blue is sharp. the PP wheels don't look too bad either. this is what the PP car I am considering looks like
Build your own car. Then look for one close to it. Get what you want. The color is way off on this picture from the Ford build & price web sight. You won't get the dark windows! Why do they do that? It's like false advertising to me.

If you're happy with the handling of your scat pack, then you should be happy with a non PP GT's handling. If you want better handling, go with the GT PP.

It all depends on how you are going to use the car. For me, the PP isn't a big deal, but others have to have it. OTOH, I like the premium features, so that's what I bought. I'll likely add some suspension stuff and wheels at some point, but that's easier to do than adding the interior bits. Also, how loud do you want to be? The blue color is interesting, but more subdued than orange. If you want attention, get the orange.

Hmm, if you call the color a toss up, and you're looking at roughly the same price, then the decision comes down to:

PP if you want more performance right out of the box, don't intend to do substantial modifications (especially in the suspension area), want better running gear in a number of different areas (cooling, rear end, tires, brakes, bracing)

The Premium model has a lot of really nice features, if you're more of a cruiser, straight line kind of driver, and/or when it's time to look into suspension mods, you'd probably replace _everything_ anyway, you might appreciate the comfort/convenience options way more.

This has gotten a little more complex since it used to be only available with a manual - i.e., it also required a manual vs. auto decision (and with a manual in 2015-16 it was a steal at $2495) . PP was kind of a must for me, I even waited about 4 months to get a '16 where PP was available in the convertible. As a street car, that I wanted to cruise in, I also wanted _all_ the B&Ws too, I would not have been happy with the tiny little Sync display among other things (the decision was made for me, as all GT convertibles are premium cars, and I bought one with PP).

I really enjoying driving, so the PP car makes that more enjoyable for me, and even though I've replaced some of the parts (springs, wheels, tires), it's still better than starting from "scratch".

OK, so that's probably no help ... :D

$1000 for black out package you could do with $10 in plastidip?
Lol

PP if you might track it or Whipple. Track Is the only place to actually experience one if these cars without killing others or yourself.

Street only is cool too, no need for PP.

I notice you're in Oregon. Do you really want a performance pack with summer only tires. If you're going to daily drive it you'll need another set of winter wheels, tires and TPMS sensors. I drove a premium pkg GT with the black pkg today and thought it rode and handled fine. My next GT will be my 5th in a row and living in RI and intending to DD it, I'm definitely not going with PP. I just wish Ford offered magneride on the base suspension. Waiting to see if they make that change for '19, then I'm getting my car!

Don't hold your breath on magneride. The PS4S tires on the PP are as good or better in the rain than most AS tires. I always felt like superman in the rain with Super Sports.
