Hard to tell. That’s a form fitting cover.

It’s hugging the lines very closely.

Looks exactly like a GT350.
It doesn't look exactly like a GT350 to me.

Why on earth would they release the GT500 without the 2018 facelift? They're clearly pre-18 lights.

I know some prefer the "old" lights.....but I'd be VERY disappointed if the '19 GT500 didn't receive the new ones....

Personally, I think this is "just" a GT350 and the form fitting cover is fooling with our eyes.

However...that leaked oil-spec document did indicate the GT350 would be around until the '20MY....so could this be a mild update for the GT350? (old lights and all!!)

:)

I think it's difficult to tell what the body and headlights look like with the cover on. I really hope a GT500 will be revealed in January.

Why they wouldn't mess with the headlights? Possibly because they will need to change their dies up for the fender and mold for the bumper which was probably going to be different for the gt500 anyway, so in short, added cost. Would think it's gonna get the change. I believe its just a current GT350 under coverm Hood looks a bit bulky but it may just be pulled right in the middle.

Surely someone on this forum has a gt350. Put a tight cover on it and take a pic. Put it up for comparison.

I see it as the GT500 now getting an extended life without a break.

^^ I see it as Ford not producing SVT (Ford Performance) vehicles in the nearish future. The release at the auto show will probably mark the last of its kind from Ford. That sucks. The question now, is do you buy into it?

Just sounds like the s550 will live on for a few additional years building a gazillion 350s and GT500s, then a super weak mustang coming our way in 2025:(
I'm not too worried about it. One more good driving GT500 is all I wanted anyway. Still lots and lots of past cars and a mid engine vette to get.
