Oy vey. Another one. Anyone who ever bought ANYTHING and claims to have been “gouged” has ONLY himself to blame. Anyone who chose NOT to buy something because of price doesn’t have the coin, envies those who do, and/or never wanted it very badly anyway.Ohhh just realized -- the Bullitt MUST be real for 2018.
ADMS are coming down on GT350s in certain parts of the country. Dealerships are in need of a new model to gouge the public with.
If it's like the last ones, X-Plan applies to the Bullitt because its a GT package, same for the Mach1, unless Ford changes it this year. I know dealers that say they still have not even used their available Shelby orders so I plan to go to them first to ask about X-Plan on a Bullitt.
X-Plan is grossly misunderstood. It’s merely terms by which Ford agrees to compensate dealers for selling most non-limited allocation models according to a certain formula for customers who meet certain eligibility criteria - usually certain group, employee, or “friends and families”.I don't know about that. When I bought my 2009 Bullitt I was told that X-Plan did not apply. That wasn't from my local Ford dealer; it was from my contacts within Ford Motor Company itself. Even though I had done a fair amount of consulting work for Ford at the corporate level, I was on my own as far as negotiating a deal.
If X-Plan pricing applies to a 2018 Bullitt, I'd probably get one.
It applied to my Mach1 I dont see why it would not apply to the Bullitts.I don't know about that. When I bought my 2009 Bullitt I was told that X-Plan did not apply. Gotta love all the clamoring for special throwback versions - which immediately precedes people bitching about how little they’re willing to pay for it.$56,000 for a "Bullit" Mustang, get real. Joke. Limited Production, Double Joke! Let your friendly neighborhood Ford retailer bend you over at sticker, trade it in 2 years and you will learn just how "limited" these offerings are in the world of economic reality. Unless your Mustang has Shelby plastered all over it from the factory it will depreciate faster than you could ever run.
It will apply if Ford decides circumstances are such that accepting X-Plan would help it achieve whatever volume and margin combination it determines to be worthwhile. Dealers will choose to honor it (or not) accordingly, regardless of the terms of your Mach 1 purchase. It applied to my Mach1 I dont see why it would not apply to the Bullitts.
Where did you get 56k from? a Premium PP2 is only 48k. I expect it not to be over 50 unless it's FULLY loaded.$56,000 for a "Bullit" Mustang, get real. Joke. Limited Production, Double Joke! Chrome was a sixties thing. Not so much in 2018, so don't expect it.Is the window trim chrome or not? I cannot seem to make it out, Looks black to me...
the posters that were leaked do show it as chrome or satin etc.
Well, in terms of looks, it's a case of "less is more" for the Bullitt....plane grille, no 5.0 badges, no spoilers etc.Hopefully they executed this well. Retro appearance package on the S550 = traditional wingback chair in an IKEA-filled contemporary room.

Should we maybe start a new thread based on what we know is real instead of continuing one that was based on a Photoshop? May prevent people not reading all 22 pages from being misinformed. From the window sticker on Page 1.......although Jarstang did point out the price should be ignored![]()
IMO, the 15-17 18" Foundry wheel did that perfectly. Make a 19" version that's 9-9.5" wide, and they're good to go. Forget the chrome lip...looks tacky. Do the whole wheel in a dark stainless/gunmetal.Well, in terms of looks, it's a case of "less is more" for the Bullitt....plane grille, no 5.0 badges, no spoilers etc.
As long as they can get the wheels right (a modern take on the 5 spoke torq thrust), I think it'll look good.
Here's hoping![]()
