looks like its just all the parts the states had since launch even the strut brace comes with the k brace too even though we already have it fitted by factory. interestinly they're doing twin tip exhausts but no double rear valance for them to actually fit through.
just cut to fit thats what I did scots/yorkshire savings tip.

at those prices they're not worth it anyway unless you really really really want to keep your warranty
Is the only difference between this & the US equivalent the warranty? Or is the calibration UK/Euro specific?

I'm sure the majority of us would risk no warranty over saving several hundred £££ by importing from the US.

If warranty wasn’t an issue then why bother with a Ford tune when you would get so much more from a tune such as from Lund.

Fair point. I like the idea of an “off the shelf” tune by Ford, i don’t think at the moment i’m one to go down the custom tune route, so the idea of a quick and easy install (with/without warranty) is what appeals to me. Not fused about the final numbers as long as its q noticeble improvement over stock

There’s Steeda, Dreamscience and others that you can get an off the shelf canned tune from if you don’t want a custom tune.

The attraction for me was the warranty, ease of install and the (hopefully) decent map by Ford.

I can’t see the point of the Ford map if is has no discernible advantage of any other canned tune with the added downside of it not being approved for road use and worries over emissions at MOT time.

As far as I can tell, the US Ford Racing calibration tunes won't work because you need to register your VIN to download the tune, therefore you'd need a valid US model car to be able to qualify. I'd like to go down the official Ford route for reasons of warranty as well as the large torque gains low down. That would be a big improvement in real world driving. I'm not sure that any of the other off the shelf tunes offer those kind of gains?

I've also heard that other tunes can make the shifts jerky in autos. The Ford tune has the option to increase line pressure for faster shifts, but it is optional so, again, may be more suited to everyday driving.

Nothing that interests me. No suspension kits and no ECU tuning packages for the EcoBoost. If I could get a warranted coilover kit, I would be interested even it was double the aftermarket price. As I'll be paying off he loan I used to buy the car for several more years, keeping the warranty instact and preserving or enhancing the cars value are very important to me.

Why would you care about a warrantied coilover kit? The only thing that needs a warranty on them is the actual coilovers etc, as they won't affect anything else....so therefore you wont have any warranty issues with coilovers?

While the car is under Manufacturers warranty I'd like to have a single point of contact for all "support" for my car. My dealer is also on my doorstep, but there are no indy Mustang performance specialists near me.

Still, once the car is out of warranty and all loans are cleared then I would consider after market parts.

Sorry. :)

Single point of contact is a valuable benefit in case anything goes wrong

I'm sure I mentioned this agessss ago, that when the 550.2 came out they'd also try and release the 550.1 goodies as well, allowing them to "Keep" the original 550.1 owners 'happy' with warrantied mods, and cash in on those not wanting to sell. And also subsequently cash "In" on the 550.2 guys swapping over. Gives the second hand market more to play with.

I think it's a great idea, to try and keep the S550.1 owners happy with some lovely warrantied parts direct from Ford, fitted by (ahem) clued up technicians.

However, for me, it's just become an absolute waste of time and effort as the words 'not for road use' appears next to on almost all the bits I'd consider.

"Not for road use" you mean like half the stuff on most of our modded cars ;)?

What on your car isn't for road use?

My concern with the power pack stuff is that there not emissions legal, and it's going to be a substantial ball ache come MOT time.

I remember the days of making sure my single cat STi was burning hot so it would pass the MOT, but do I really want to take my car back to Ford to remove CAI's or reflash to stock to pass an MOT?

Does seem a bit contradictory to say full warranty but not for road use

Anyone brave enough to ask their dealer for more info? Accessories website is frustratingly light on detail...

I would ask mine but there is a different sales guy each time I speak to them...
