I hit a dead animal on the road. Somehow it messed my under car shield and it has to come off. Will it hurt anything driving with it off? I am going to replace it. Just wondering if it effects anything being off.

Are you talking about the belly pan? Don't know if you can drive without it. I think the front splitter attaches to it but not sure.

I'd think it helps to keep dead animals you hit on the road out of more important places, not important for the short term but would still consider putting it back if it could happen again.

Yes sir, a new one from Tasca will be soon on order. I love my Stang, and love driving it more. Want to always have it standing tall!

If you remove the underside pan the air will come up and turn your hood into a belly dancer, dont remove it! Fix it or replaced it!!!!

Yeah, any proof of that? I've had no belly pan for 30,000 miles genius.

I think they are designed to aid in hood lifting… Does it help or hurt?? I have no idea. Chameleon is very knowledgeable on the S550 platform. Dominant1 is very knowledgeable too… I will have to drive it a few days off, because I love driving my Stang.

It helps protect things and makes the car more aerodynamic, but most cars have had no belly pan at all for the last century until semi-recently so you'll be fine

Hmmm..... Rock Auto lists it for about $130. Look for "engine cover" under the "engine" category on their catalog...........

Ok to run for the short term but I would replace it if it were me. You don't want junk getting into the engine bay. The less water intrusion the better with all the electronics on cars these days.

99% of other cars don't have them. Nothing will happen if remove it or drive for awhile with out it.
