I've noticed over the last week or 2, that upon the first drive after starting the car in the mornings, just normal throttle, I seem to be pulling timing. Sometimes 1-2 degrees, sometimes a bit more. After the car warms up, it's gone, completely.

I've also noticed a bit of throttle surge around 2800-3000 rpms after the cars warm. Could bad gas be causing it? I've never had one single issue before. And IIRC, Lambda for 93 is .78, correct? I've been using the nGauge to monitor KNOCKR for a while now, and have never seen it go positive past .50.

I did install a Corsa Double X around 2 weeks ago, but I don't seem to remember it being on anything, and can't see why if it was, I wouldn't be pulling timing up top, which the car actually shows adding timing up to 3*.

Sorry for the long post. I appreciate any input from some of the seasoned guys here haha!

Is this on the Whipple tune? You’re saying that the car is getting +knock at idle?

No, Lund Dyno tuned. Not at idle. I have a video, but not sure how to attach it.

If I start it up, drive to the end of my road ( about 100 yards from driveway ) pull out and just drive, not romping on it or anything, it'll show 3 to 4 degrees, or it did this morning. If I actually get down on it, it'll go negative ( add ) timing. It's just from 2500-3500 rpms it seems to pull it.

Are you getting a positive knock number or are you just noticing it is pulling timing? If you are not getting on it, I have to wonder what does it matter either way?

Be careful, light throttle knock can sometimes indicate something is wrong internally with the motor, like a bad ring land.

KNOCKR on the nGauge reading positive.

Only time I have seen it do it is shortly after start up. I wouldn't say light throttle, shows up around 2500-3000 rpms, and if you go into it, goes away?

Might be nothing, can you also change your gauge to have the spark source? Could just be tip in spark reduction.

I'd have to look. I'm not sure. I almost swear it didn't do it before I install this Corsa Double X, so I wondered if maybe it was false knock. Maybe the car being "stiff" I guess after sitting all night is letting something make contact that doesn't affect it after driving it, as stupid as that sounds.

I have a video of it not even 2 minutes later and it’s displaying - values in the same driving manner.

Update. I went yesterday and put 11 gallons of 93 in it, and a whole bottle of Octanium. This morning I MAY have seen +1.5 degree where I was seeing +4 to +5 yesterday. Was gone about as soon as I seen it. Almost curious if maybe I got a tank full of deposits or some shit and that's what I was stirring up first go in the morning. We've never just had astounding fuel here and I wonder if when I got fuel 2-3 weeks back and the tanks were empty because of the gas shortage bs, I didn't pick up some crap.

very possible. I randomly filled up at a Mobile station I had never used before, and under WOT I had +2 +3 knock. Next day I refilled with my normal local station and went back to -2.

Well see what's weird is mine ONLY does this after it's sat for a period of time, such as overnight. Maybe that crap get's stirred up first thing then dissipates enough to not cause it?

I have had better luck here out of Kroger 93, than anything. Lol.
