The Mach 600 with grooved pressure plate I believe is the 670lb/ft tq rated clutch. That would be the Exedy I would would get on a budget.

I'm cross shopping twin discs and right now the organic Mantic is the clear leader in that arena. ~$1500 for everything you need, sprung hubs, and all the holding force I would ever possibly need.
the et04xd is really nice, hit me up for pricing on it

save you some bucks over the mantic

i have sold hundreds of rxts over the year to people and many run them with great success.

1 person said he doesn't like them, and then all of a sudden everyone across the "forums" says that the rxt is terrible.

i have sold more rxt than rst over the years, both are great clutches, and the rxt more of a track friendly clutch

another one that we have a great deal on is the exedy et04xd, twin sprung clutch, rated at 847ft/lbs at the tires, with 20% drivetrain loss and 25% safety factor.

we are installing one this week on a local customer thats on here that has already been 11.3 on the stock clutch at over 4k pounds

any of the 3 are really nice clutches.
Ive read MULTIPLE cases of which adding the grabbing power and shock from the RXT has sheer'd gears in the MT-82. Dont feel like putting a trans in my pretty much brand new car haha. Correct me if im wrong?? Thats why I made this post!!!:headbang:

the mt82 is "soft" compared to the t56, thats why we always go auto, lol

i have seen these trans go with all types of clutches from stock to aftermarket

the rxt is "on off" almost, it def hits harder than an rst, the rst will slip more, so it does hit the trans / driveline, just a little softer.

but i've seen them break on lots of different setups

My concern is the Solid hub with the RXT. From what I gather it is to jerky on the drivetrain. Im really looking for a cost effective sprung hub. Hell Im over 700 right now on a stock clutch and it still grabs first 2 gears. Granted im on street tires. My car will see the track. I understand the mantic is a complete kit with flywheel etc. I just cant justify a 1900 dollar item for a trans that I might just end up scrapping eventually.

Totally understand what your saying my friend. Im not biased agaisnt any clutch. I just heard if you want a clutch that EFFIN grabs, its the RXT. I just wish it was sprung hub.

http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/ghtp-1207-t56-transmission-torque-doubling-no-guts-no-glory/
T56 Transmission Torque Doubling - No Guts, No Glory

In its F-car form, it was rated for 450 lb-ft of torque, while the vaunted Viper version was rated at 550 lb-ft.

That was just fine 10-15 years ago, but as time marched on, so did the rear-wheel output of LS-based street/strip machines. You can exceed the torque rating by merely slipping in a hotter camshaft in an LS7 crate engine. Add a power adder to just about any well-tuned LS engine these days and you'll be asking too much of your T56 at the drag strip.

"Once you get to about 700 horsepower, the T56 is done,"

People use the magnum xl, not the t56. They are different.

I'm going to either Try a mantic + Calimer MT82 or go straight to a TR6060 and RXT

What are you doing with the car? Drag track? Rolls street? Road Course? Very different gearing between the MT82 and TR6060.
40 Rolls, 1/4 and 1/2 mile. I'll probably switch to a 3.73 If I go TR6060
