I am looking to dump my 20s for a lightweight square set of 19s in a 9.5-10 width. Not looking to go full forged but better than cast. Also hub centric to our cars if possible.

20s looked amazing, just sacrificed to much performance for my liking. Putting the stock 19s back on yesterday made me aware there is nothing wrong with my car.

I'd recommend Apex EC-7 for a strong and light wheel that won't break the bank. M350 and Project6GR wheels too. Yes, I caution people on going to 20s because even if they are the same weight, more of its further out, which makes it harder to get going and to stop. Most are usually heavier as well, so that also hurts ride quality by increasing unsprung mass.

And in addition - tire choices for 20" are non existent (talking about reasonable performance tires, not Nitto or other crap). If someone's goal is performance and grip, going back to 19 or less is no brainer.

I know this is subjective, but I frankly like the 19s in terms of appearance as well. It perfectly compliments the car while 20s to me just look too big on it, and 18s are just a tad too small.
I think it mainly depends on if you lower the car or not. On a lowered car 19's look smallish and 20's look just right. But on a non lowered car 19's look very well balanced and 20's look like tractor wheels.

Not sure I agree. On modestly lowered (less than 1" drop) cars, 19" with a 27" OD tire looks absolutely perfect. Looks like it was engineered that way.

If you lower the car more than about an inch, your goal isn't performance, anyway, so who cares? I think almost all 20" wheels look like tractor wheels on these cars, regardless of lowering. The few exceptions have smaller barrels, more similar to a 19".

I did the same thing. Started with some 20x10 MMD wheels. Switched them out for the RTR Tech7s 19x9.5 squared. I need to get different tires though. The 275/40s they came with are too tall for my setup and spacers. Going to switch them out for some 285/35

19x10" there are a lot of good choices around ~25 lbs designed for the S550 and hubcentric.

SVE GT350, MMR 350, Project6Gr, MRR M600.

I would agree to go with a 19x10 Square set up, you can run something like the
MRR Wheels that are pretty light or the Project 6gr wheels both no spacers and you can run a 285/35/19 on all 4..

Tire choices are horrible with 19 inch wheels. The 19 is like the ugly step sister to the 18 and 20 inch wheels. Nobody makes em.

You got to be kidding... 18" has obviously more choices, but for 20" they're non-existent (for good tires, not just tires).

I won't go wider than a 275/285 so what ever that provides as far as tires I will have to make do. My 20s were just too much un sprung weight. Couldn't believe with 435 hp I would notice such a performance drop but I did.

That's what I'm running on my 6GR 5spoke.

Not kidding...

Before the Mustang, I hadn't heard of too many manufacturers making 19 inch wheels. Usually it goes 18 straight to 20 inches. Aftermarket wheels, people usually skip the 19 inch oddball size and goto 17, 18, or 20. I really do believe that there are more tire choices for 20 inch wheels than 19 inch. More manufacturers have standard or optional 20 inch wheels on vehicles than 19s.
