i know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy that smuggles these in once a month around midnight. i can set you up with him but we got to earn trust. first we got to get a bronco and cross over to arizona where we pick up a cactus and drive over to nevada to pick up a rabbit then with the cactus and rabbit we can trade for a donkey. with the donkey we can meet up with the guy at midnight and trade for the catch can.

Y'all pretty funny. I read the fine print though
This product is NOT CARB (California Air Resource Board) Exempt. It is not for legal sale or use in the state of CA or any other states adopting CA emission standards and require a CA Executive Order (EO) number. Any orders placed for this item with a CA ship to address will be cancelled. COMING SOON!!!

Seems like there have been similar posts from our Cali members abt catch cans stating that the emission tester may note anything at all not stock and declare it an issue. I do not know what the actual rules are there, but sounds like worst case you remove it for your test. Install/removal should only take 20-30 mins max. FWIW

PS: Only meet with a guy named Luigi and be sure he is wearing the red rose in his right lapel. :ninja:

Removing it for smog is all fine and good but JLT will cancel all orders from CA.

Did not know that. Is theirs different than the others? I bought a UPR system.

Have a friend or family member outside Cali order it for you

Oil separators that maintain a closed crankcase system are not required to apply/receive an EO from the California Air Resources Board. As per the Bureau of Automotive Repair in California, there is no EO required and as such no need to attempt to verify when the vehicle is inspected. Separators are treated no differently from a cat-back exhaust system, water injection system, air conditioner cut-out, anti-theft or alarm system, engine governor, Hybrid battery upgrade, etc.

See CARB Appendix G, second page, scroll down to the bottom of the chart and note where it says Oil Separator/Filter.

https://www.bar.ca.gov/pdf/APPENDIX%20G%20final%2012-2009.pdf

Note what it says at the very bottom...

Note: Any add-on or modified part not otherwise addressed in this table must have an EO and be verified during inspection
Separators are addressed in the table, do not require an EO number, and aren't required to be verified.

I can't speak for JLT, but in essence this is a CYA move and I can't blame anyone for including the disclaimer what with worries of the EPA beating down your door. Many are misinformed.

B.S., I had to smog my car because I bought it out if state with both driver and passenger side catch cans from Ford with zero issues. I got mine from LMR.

Ok..:.but I'm specifically talking about the JLT website. I found a work around anyways. Don't tell CARB.
