I thinking about adding long tube headers but want to know if its worth it. Any issues after? With cats are they wake the dead loud?

Same hereI'm going mak cat deletes
Much cheaper and makes similar power I bet
I have LT headers and cat deletes which is even better.I'm going mak cat deletes

any empirical data to back this claim up?I have LT headers and cat deletes which is even better.
No. Just make sense to me if you allow the engine to breath better it becomes more efficient. Also at the power levels I'm at cats can be an issue due to heat.any empirical data to back this claim up?
and yet my car made 20 more whp than yours and ive been on stock cats and manifolds for 14k miles? :shrug:No. Just make sense to me if you allow the engine to breath better it becomes more efficient. Also at the power levels I'm at cats can be an issue due to heat.
Hard to tell because of different tunes. Is that on a Mustang dyno. Anyways it works for me.and yet my car made 20 more whp than yours and ive been on stock cats and manifolds for 14k miles?

Yet you went 2mph slower through the 1/4?and yet my car made 20 more whp than yours and ive been on stock cats and manifolds for 14k miles?

and yet at 650whp on a mustang dyno at 16 degrees ive had no problems.Yet you went 2mph slower through the 1/4?
Tit for tat stuff, stock cats will melt given a rich enough, hot enough mix. Period. Been proven. I have a rattle can ARH "high flow" cat mid pipe sitting on my bench. Happened around 750whp.
Removing cats allows you push the tune harder without fear by your tuner you'll melt something. They are restrictive to flow, but I would say equally as restrictive as the stock exhaust manifolds are once you start boosting and raising your rev limiter. You need both.
Hay man, it's all cool!and yet at 650whp on a mustang dyno at 16 degrees ive had no problems.
lund had no fear id melt something. neither has boostworks.
yep i went 2mph slower, headwind/shitty 60 foot. im still on factory converter launching at 1500rpm. first and only pass.

agreed. longtubes without cats and a loud exhaust is gonna be loud.Hay man, it's all cool!![]()
