Just a little thinking out loud and looking for some feed back. Back in the late 70's and 80's it was difficult to set up any front stage in my cars. mostly Camaros at that point. I would ride with a set of quality 6x9's in the rear deck driven by a decent amp. I just recall those systems being fun.
Fast forward to today, I am considering a rear seat delete and thought about going old school again. I was thinking something like the Zen box with some of the JL 8.8" marine coax's installed. They have a reputation of playing very low and being able to go w/o a sub. I am mostly a classic rock guy so most likely no issue there. I would do cut outs with grills on the delete to pass the full range into the interior.
As far as the front I would most likely just run coax in the front doors but it would certainly be a rear dominated system.
Thoughts?
