IMO, Ford would be better off offering it with a double DIN hole than the base radio.
As funny as that sounds I agree, this isn't mid 2000 anymore LCD screens are dirt cheap. No excuse really other than just being cheap. And yea even at 2015 who the hell really uses CDs? that should of been scrapped from the getgo.

They're sticking with the base model getting a 4.2" screen with Sync2

A base model Chevy Spark even gets a 8" touchscreen with Android Auto....
The smaller the screen, the better. None would be perfect. Huge iPad-like screens are teh ghey.

Quality of materials is much more important.

For me it's less about size of screen and more about getting rid of the 80s dial keypad. The keypad is an insult to design and beauty. Haha... oh well first world problem. Still like base GT better than Premium pleather.

Radio upgrade should be optional like GT350

The small screen by itself might be OK, if it was not surrounded by approximately 437 buttons. The design is inexcusably bad in 2017 and is put to shame by standard units in sub-$20K econo-boxes.

Seriously, they should just offer a "head unit delete" option and put a standard double DIN hole and wire/steering wheel harness. You could pop any Pioneer, Sony, Kenwood, Alpine, JVC head unit for $500-1000 (or as much as you want to spend really). Pre-wired speakers and microphone would be desired, but keep all the fundamental car controls segregated.

It would have to be no cost radio delete. Because Ford would avoid admiting factory radio only costs $4-12. Heck it might actually cost Ford more money to delete the radio.

That would be totally OK by me as long as I got a standard double-DIN hole.

You can drop in one of the TomTop screens for less than $200. It DOES have its quirks and installing can be a pain, but its worth it just to clear up the dash from all those annoying buttons and the bigger screen is awesome for the back up camera

WOW!! if thats infact the actual "midnight blue" seat with just new blue stitching I'm getting that !! Magnetic + Midnight Blue seats will look sharp.

Hmmm, does that mean that the new thicker steering wheel with much better premium leather will have the same blue stitching, along with the shifter boot and door panels?? ohh I have so many more questions now lol :)

It's just Fords way of making you step up to the Premium. Same with the new digital dash, you want one, gotta go Premium.

I would have been perfectly fine with a base had it came with the 8" screen and corresponding bezel. The base 4.3" screen/bezel looks like shit and doesn't flow well with the interior at all.

Kona Blue with Ceramic interior might just be my ticket. Anyone here have a ceramic or lighter interior? I've only had black or grey. Any Cons?

Apparently if you wear blue jeans it rubs off onto the ceramic.

I think Ceramic is a great color, it's definitely cooler than black. Just wish it was a premiere trim option.

Will the MagnaRide suspension be available only for both PP models?? Or can you get it with the regular GT with the 20" wheel option or the regular 19" wheels on the GT ??

The only two stats I cared about are TBD

ENGINES
2.3L EcoBoost I-4 5.0L Ti-VCT V8
Horsepower (hp @ rpm) TBD TBD
Torque (lb.-ft. @ rpm) TBD TBD
This

Dodge is releasing 700-800+ Hp cars left and right and Ford is beating around the bush on a measly 15-20hp gain....

Hope they release the specifics soon. I'm thinking/guessing there will be some prerequisite to MagnaRide i.e. Optional only on PP or Premium PP. This will save them from fine tuning the programming for each combination of wheels and weights.
But no worries you can just swap the wheels later.
