One thing a dyno gives you that data logging does not is and actual power/ torque figure so you know if the change you made is better or worst.

The logs you are posting seem to have lean spikes on tip in. This is a transient fueling issue. Could cause it to be prone to knock. Also 15* of knock advance is excessive.
the knock is always after it has already transitioned and is in power enrich. and 15 is peanuts. hell procharger runs more than that

I think he meant 15 knock retard, not timing advance.

That's 15 of knock advance that I was seeing not final timing but what the ecu is adding. Look in the part throttle areas. On tip in that's not what you want the timing to be doing.

Knock advance????If the ecu is adding timing i think its spark advance.

Ecu adding timing from not sensing knock.

Yes you may be running 18 saftot. Spark advance final total. But your ecu is not at -18 for knock retard/advanced.

oh i misunderstood. FYI the diablo tool records the knock amount in 2X the actual number. so 16 in the datalog is really 8 degrees being pulled. assuming he posted the diablo log. i honeslty didnt look as i have them in my email. but yes we are on the same page now

What was loose?
you would have to ask purpra. i THINK it was the tensioner. im seeing more and and more that the belt isnt tight enough and the tensioner is bouncing and causing knock because its only a few inches from the sensor. but it might have been the exhaust too. i was just showing the difference. no tuning changes made

What a difference! Now I just have to get back on the dyno to see what it can really do.

As for the false knock I would also say it was the tensioner, but I did tighten everything I could down including the exhaust clamps fuel rails catch can etc. I didn't really tighten anything too much either but as it shows it doesn't have to be a lot to make a huge difference
