Took a 2011 Challenger 392 HEMI all three times last night. He was auto I'm std. He was so surprised he had to look my car over because he couldn't believe it was bone stock.

Nice work. I believe the 15+ 392 got a power/tq bump which would be a "challenge" for a stock 5.0 :headbonk:

470 HP for the pre-2015 Challengers. That's quite surprising for a Coyote to take one though, these tend to walk a S550 stock versus stock.

Eh not really a good match up, even with good drivers. My brother brought one down back this fall when I was completely stock and he didn't stand a chance and I had extra passengers. He just couldn't pull me. The newer ones though are a drivers race.

Your brother's looks like an 08? Pre 2011's had the 6.1L with 425 hp. The 11-14 has 6.4 with 470 and the 15+ got 485 plus the 8 speed transmission. GTPP vs Scat Pack is a drivers race, non PP GT's will lose to a Scat Pack/SRT 392

Intuitively that would certainly make sense, but real world results have not proven that from what I've seen posted on here. In fact, one thread (I need to find it and post the link) had a guy changing out gears and ended up with 3.15s as the fastest, from what I remember. When I have a chance I'll research instead of just posting hearsay.

How is a GTPP faster than a non-PP?

Manual PP vs. Manual non-pp.

Automatic with 3.55 gears with a good tune vs. a PP tuned, auto will win most of the time.

How is a GTPP faster than a non-PP?

Doesn't the PP weigh more than the non-PP? Better on the road track, not better in a straight line.
