I think it's quite possible to get 30MPG if you're driving mostly highway. I drive like 95% city, and I'm at 18.8MPG.

These mpg threads are so funny. True mpg is miles driven divided by gallons it took to fill the tank. Ten or thirty miles on the highway or a reset the car's mpg before you go to work really does not mean anything. Yes it may make you happy, but you need to live in reality and besides did you really by a GT for fuel efficiency?

I did, but I'm also coming in to this from a lifted 2015 Tundra on 35's so just about anything is better mileage wise! :lol:

I drive almost strictly hwy but what lowers my mileage is I go through about 6 or so stop lights and a stop sign. the stop lights drive me nuts as sometimes they turn red when there is not a single car coming from the crossing roads. Also sometimes the light turns red so opposite lanes will get the green turn arrow when no one is there.

So far in I'm at 22.7 and that's after 600ish miles or so. It's hard not to punch the throttle when accelerating up to speed. :shrug:

I did touch 27 mpg on the way home from dealer but that quickly went away once the skinny pedal was used a bit more.

I'm impressed with the cruising/commuting fuel economy i get in my 2016 GT automatic. Mileage for the last 4-5,000 miles has averaged around 25. On my 100 mile daily commute (70% highway at 75 mph/30% city) i often get 26.5-27 mpg over a tankful or two. (Yes, that's by the car computer, but I have found it pretty accurate.) Of course, while I like the mileage, I love the power, so it's easy to kill the good average! But all in all, this is surely the golden age of hot cars!

I have done a few trips testing out different gas types and what not. I have a 16 GT PP so I have 3.73 rear end. I average overall around 19.5 on 89oct gas.

I am considering tuning my car with a 93 race tune, not sure how/if that will change things.

I just got my 2017 5.0 and am getting 10.2 mpg lol. Painful but I have been stepping on it.
I hope it gets better for my wallets sake.

Same here. My mpg's on my 2017 Gt PP are around 12.

I know, its so annoying when people converse about MPG data of a car on a car forum.

I feel like you guys are lying or constantly resetting your MPG counter. I've reset my counter a few times only after long trips because I know that it helps the mpg get high. but I only get 16 MPG on average and its my daily driver. I have 20k miles and I probably drive 30 miles a day.

Same here. 2016 Vert GT and I get 16.8 MPG every tank. Almost all around town however.

If its so annoying why are you reading it? You have a choice lol. With that said my mpg is based on the life of the car. I only reset trip A when i fill up. Trip B has been going since i bought the car. That gives an accurate representation of what the car is getting per gallon. Just sayin.
