Thanks for both of the tips. clocking the bushings is something I've considered. Not sure if that would impact ride height. The sway bar suggestion makes sense if the swap had load during install. Will give that a shot.
Recently had Steeda Progressive springs and fixed dampers front and rear. Had an alignment done (just a note - they found left rear spindle nut was loose and re torqued to spec). After about a week, the alignment issue came back - pulling to the drivers side. Just tonight, my spacers came in...
Quick update - decided to ditch the Eibach springs and throw Steeda Progressive Springs, Fixed Dampers, Camber/Caster plates and Shock Mounts. Wow what a difference (more on that after I get more testing/miles in). During the install, I found quite a bit of play in the passenger rear tire...
Ordered some spacers from Motorsport Tech a few days ago. When the invoice arrived, I noticed that there were two center bores listed - 70.3 and 70.5. When ordering, I filled in the center bore based on a quick search of what the center bore should be for a 2016 GT w/PP. The sources I've...
Did some additional testing yesterday. On normal acceleration, it pulls to the left slightly (after a few seconds or bumps), kinda like torque steer would. Harder the acceleration, harder the pull. It does remain straight while coasting. Apply more throttle and it starts to move to the left...
Yeah, the front is quite low. Almost too much so. Rides like crap on some of these Chicago streets. Almost tempted to ditch the springs and throw a Steeda set up on the car.
Wheels - Stock PP wheels/Conti DSW06. Have about 18k on the tires now.
Any suggestion on a better alignment shop...
The camber is out of spec, so there is that. They didn't even get to the rear so I have no clue. Are you referring to the instability during acceleration/speed? When it happens it feels very similar to when a tire will catch a groove in the road and shift left and right. What makes you say...
The GT has Eibach Sportline springs/PP dampers on it currently. Previous alignments have went well with no issues. Attempted another alignment after feeling some instability issues during acceleration or at higher speeds (70+), but the shop said they couldn't get the car any closer than -1.9...
Initially, my insurance went up by about 10 bucks, going from a 2014 Mustang V6 to a 2016 GT. (41, clean record). Then, on the 6 month renew, insurance jumped up by an additional 25 bucks a month out of nowhere. Progressive is the company. I did get quotes from other reputable companies but...
This sucks bigly. When did Ford replace blown engines past 60k miles? Did I miss something?
Either way that tune is a big out for Ford if something goes wrong. I would expect the dealer to call on that and say no. The only bright side, if there is one, is the EB is cheaper to replace than a...
Had my 16 GT about 6 months....put 8500 on it. I have the same problem - cannot stay out of it. Its my only car and daily, but I make up reasons to go places just for the drive even on the weekends. The miles, to me, dont matter. Smiles per gallon is off the charts with this car. It's a...
I put 2 coats of CQuartz on my Shadow Black GT. It looks stunning and cleaning is a breeze. Provides great protection against common road grime. No so much protection when it comes to rock chips. Even with 2 coats its sustained some chips. Its better than nothing but its not as stout as film.
It really depends on the Mustang in question. Be it a rare Shelby or bare bones V6, if the love for the car shines through in its condition and cleanliness, its absolutely getting a wave. Nothing but love for that. Another occasion is, and its rare, I catch a young kid behind the wheel of a...
