One of those two cars is going to have a LOT more resale value. The GT350 is powerful enough and will look and sound better.

Personally I prefer the GT350. I'm more into turning corners than having the most possible HP. If you really want a power adder, I think the GT is more for you.

You have 3.73 gear?

If you're a road course guy get the GT350, it will also have better resale value.

If you're a straight line race or drag racer, get an auto GT, opg, single turbo kit from CPR, or EDP

Shit if i had the money I would get an R and an auto with a single turbo. Of course they would be 2nd/3rd to the Viper.
yes i had the 3.73, I'd like to drive a car with the 3.31 to see the difference.

i have opportunities to drag race the most, but I'm conflicted as my drive to work (and lake in the summer) have some fun curves. i could never get so serious about dragging the car to put skinnies on the front. although it'd be fun to show some of the older purpose built cars up...while my ass is being air conditioned!

at this point, i can't do an auto. i know they're fast and bulletproof in the s550, I'm just afraid I'd get a little bored

edit: starting over does broaden my search to a turbo car like you said, although I'm a little more scared of the install. i had previously written them off because we put my headers on...and no way after that was i taking them off lol

i will admit to liking curves a smidge more, and the only power adder I've ever had was nitrous on a fox....but was looking forward to learning and tinkering with FI.

when i brought up the argument to my girlfriend of GT with lots of extras vs 350 with a couple items and done, i just got a HUGE eye roll and she said "it'll drive you crazy leaving that car alone" lol. she may be on to something, but if the 350 is as good as everyone says i actually might be able to leave it alone to be what it's meant to be.

If you enjoy the modding part, get a good low mileage GT, and start a fresh build.

A GT with a power adder is rediculous fun. I get excited to drive my car every time I pick up the keys.

I'm talking to the OP man. Glad the stock 350 does it for you, enjoy.
And I was confirming or answering your question, yes about 8000 or the 350's are under recall. But to let you or op know the fix is out. Also to say there is really absolutely no need to mod the 350. The original op question is for F/I Mustang or a GT 350. Owning both I feel I have a pretty good knowledge of the vehicles and their differences. The F/I Mustang is a great car, but in my opinion and my uses of the vehicles I really prefer the 350. It's much better suited to every day all purpose driving. You wanna just go drag race the F/I Mustang would be a better choice.

Better suited for every day driving in what way? A FI GT drives no different than a stock or lightly modded GT.

As in the majority of our spirited driving is on a street/inter state or back road, probably %90 of Mustangs will never see a closed track or strip. The 350 remember still has 526 HP and the Mag Ride suspension you can't duplicate no matter how much $ you put into suspension, of course the 18 PP it will be available. Being able to dial in what Ride you want what exhaust you want. My F/I 15 PP is just load and fast, it's fun just not meant for everyday driving " for me". The 350 is just ready to go out of the box. It's nice to know I can go do some quick driving and let the car hang out a bit then dial it back down and pull into somewhere nice and not announce to everyone I'm here.

Unless you are taking a car to the track, I personally think the mag-ride thing is over valued.

I took a Camaro 2SS with mag-ride for a test drive and I really couldn't tell a difference. And make no mistake, I was without salesman and drove it like a rental car :D

I agree, I dont foresee the Magneride being too noticeable during everyday driving. At least not to a point where you would say, "damn this rides sooo much better than xxx."

I'm telling you go beg borrow or steal a way to test drive a 350. The Mag Ride has 3 very notable modes. 2 a little less notice is the track to sport Ride, go into normal mode and no more chop and bounce. If you never driven one pretty hard to make that statement that that's not that noticeable or irrelevant to someone asking your opinion. The easiest way to explain it to you guys that I can, and can tell do not like the 350 that much, it's the Z 28 to the Camaro. You can mod that Camaro all day long with go fast parts, but at the end of the day it's still just a Camaro.

I'd also like to add that because of the mag ride it takes a car costing of three times more than the 350 to even come close to it on a race track.
