I want in on the next group buy. Not sure how it works but if it'll get me a unit for less within the next month or two then I'm okay with it if not I'll just pay the 760 from eBay or get the moddiction unit
Don't worry next group buy should come pretty quick. Don't pay 760 it's too damn much lol. Moddiction unit don't even think about it... you won't be as free as an Android system. Did you vote on the website?

Okay yes I just voted so how does it work exactly? Basically, what's my next step?

So I will probably keep my unit. Quick question. Has anyone replaced the toggles with factory? They are so cheap on this faceplate. Horrible. Just wanted to swap for factory toggles.

Also, how do I get the extra cables for the Premium cars?

I opened both units to see if I could simply swap the toggles, but the plastic bezel around them is different, so it won't fit. You can probably remove some of the plastic from the factory unit to get it in there, but I didn't want to ruin my factory unit in case I want to swap back at some point. I also tried looking on eBay for just that (original) part, but I couldn't find it. Do let me know if you have better luck :)

@PatrickHenninger helped me with asking for the Premium cables from the supplier, which are supposedly going to be shipped to me or him.

StangATX customized the guages for my unit to match the factory Cyan look. Check it out!

Are you on the dark themed launcher? if so, to get rid of that mustang, go into settings, and turn off "Show Speed" and it should get rid of that goofy orange mustang.
K, so that didn't do anything. All it did was get rid of the little background behind the orange mustang, but the mustang is still there lol.

Also tried turning off the RDS in the radio settings and it made no difference to the high pitched noise.

One thing I did notice is that if the engine is off, the noise isn't there. So it's some kind of interference or something when getting power from the alternator vs straight battery I guess.

That's strange, normally engine noise (from the alternator) usually rises and falls in pitch with the engine RPMs. Does it do it at all volumes? And it's only on AM/FM Radio, no other audio source?

Correct to both questions. Honestly it's such a high pitch that If I'm at higher rpm, the mechanical engine noise and exhaust drown it out, so I can't say 100% that it doesn't change in the higher rpm range.

If only we could get that working with the radio :(
I'll try it this afternoon, I swear I've done it before. Open radio, hit home to minimize it, then open Waze... What NAV program are you using?
