I opened both units to see if I could simply swap the toggles, but the plastic bezel around them is different, so it won't fit. You can probably remove some of the plastic from the factory unit to get it in there, but I didn't want to ruin my factory unit in case I want to swap back at some point. I also tried looking on eBay for just that (original) part, but I couldn't find it. Do let me know if you have better luck
K, so that didn't do anything. All it did was get rid of the little background behind the orange mustang, but the mustang is still there lol.
That's strange, normally engine noise (from the alternator) usually rises and falls in pitch with the engine RPMs. Does it do it at all volumes? And it's only on AM/FM Radio, no other audio source?
Correct to both questions. Honestly it's such a high pitch that If I'm at higher rpm, the mechanical engine noise and exhaust drown it out, so I can't say 100% that it doesn't change in the higher rpm range.
If only we could get that working with the radio :(
I'll try it this afternoon, I swear I've done it before. Open radio, hit home to minimize it, then open Waze... What NAV program are you using?
