I have moth balls all around my car which is put away for the winter and still I have mice in my garage. I've caught four so far with traps using peanut butter.

Just heard back from dealership, only damage was to the fuel rail insulation, will be about $200 bucks plus tax.

Any ideas on an spray or something else to keep this from happening again?

Dryer softener sheets?

I have used dryer softener sheets when I put a vehicle into covered storage.
I put a couple next to each wheel and also drape a few on the engine and CAI.
I also put a couple in the interior...mostly to remind me to remove the sheets under the hood. It seems to work. I put rodent traps out also...and caught a few mice...but none seem to want to crawl under the hood with the sheets.

They attack daily drivers, with warm engines..not necessarily parked cars....

If you're garaging for the winter, some of the run-through style traps placed against the inside walls could be your best friend. Maybe then some of the green poison blocks could be a second line of defense. If it's outside, I haven't had any luck on stopping rodents. They're constantly building nests and chewing wires in the firewall in our F-250.

Dryer sheets work good. Last year when i stored my GT i put them around the engine bay. Didn't have any issues.

As a mechanic is Arizona I know all about pac rats and having to repair wiring. It's the nylon on the wire they love. Get yourself some women's pantyhose (made out of nylon) and put some rat poison in it and drape it over the engine during storage and while useing it and a daily zipp tie it up and out of the way. Good luck!

Walk over to your neighbors Camaro or Challenger and surround it with pet food, should help draw the little guys away from yours.

I know, smart ass answer but I couldn't help myself.
