Just curious of everyone who runs the Koni Yellows, what do you have them set at? Do you wish you would've gone with or already replaced the Koni's with the Steeda fixed or their new adjustable dampners?

I'm running BMR handing springs, and have my Koni's set at a 1/2 turn from full stiff in the rear and about 1 3/4 turn in the front, ride quality is perfect for my personal preference.

You settings, for those spring rates, are probably what I'd have them at, as well. I know a guy who uses Koni Yellows with Steeda Ultralite springs - I'm pretty sure he sets it at 1.5 turns front and back for those. FWIW, I run Steeda Pro-Action Adjustables with Swift Spec R springs right now and I switch off from setting the rear to 1.5 and front 1.5 or 1.75 depending on what I'm up to. Easier to adjust the front so I play around there more.

I'm on 3/10 (quarter turns) front and 1.5/10 for the rears (stock PP springs) for street duty. For road racing or autox I'm at 6/10 front and 4.5/10 rear.

Your Konis have 10 turns? Mine only have 2.5.

The problem with this data, is it should be different depending on what springs you have and their rate right? I have the Steeda Progressive springs and I'm currently at 1 turn from soft in the rear and 1/2 turn from soft in front. I'm getting close to where I want them. The hardest thing for me is figuring out which I need to adjust, front or back. My most recent attempt, I started with both full soft and then started adjusting only front or back so I could feel it more. What I've found so far is on my EB at least, I need the front set softer than the rear.

Correct, I'm just curious of everyone's set up and how they like the ride or if they wished or already have gone with the Steeda's dampners. I feel you on the "figuring out" part, it's taken me about 3 or 4 weeks to get it set where I want it.

How do the progressive springs ride with the Koni? I've read before that a lot of people who are running progressive tend to say it's too stiff even at the full soft.

From what I've read, The Steeda adjustable Pro-Action dampers have a wider range starting from even softer than the Konis to firmer. With my front set at 1/2 turn from full soft, I'm thinking of backing that down to 1/4 turn and may need to go full soft. I need to decrease the back a little, I'll be trying 1/4 at a time since I think it's close.

The problem is I don't think it's good to be set at the edge. I don't think that's where they are designed to operate normally. I really wish I had waited just a couple more weeks until Steeda released theirs, I definitely would have gone with them. I'm still thinking at some point, I will swap them out.

I used to have the Konis with BMR perf springs and found it too stiff or otherwise bouncy if I went full soft on the dampers.

Now I have FR springs and dampers. Now it feels firm and stiff but more controlled than the Konis. But I would like try the Konis again if I get the opportunity. I think there was something wrong with my bump stops the first time around and I don't blame the BMR springs. However it could be that the BMR springs were too soft for the compression that the Konis have. I think that the handling springs would have worked out better as a match for the Konis and wish I had tried that first. Adjustability is good thing to have which the FR shocks don't offer.

That's a great point about thee bump stops. At first everyone said no need to trim them so I didn't. After I trimmed them it helped, the rear were really tore up. Then I replaced them with the Steeda adjustable bump stops which made it MUCH better. All that time I was blaming the Konis. Now it's much better but I still end up on the very soft side of the Koni's adjustment.

Are these from full stiff or full soft ? In other words, fronts or rears are set softer ?

The BMR performance springs are definitely too soft for Konis, I've heard that even the handling springs are "just enough" for them. Seems like Koni's should work well with the upcoming Steeda super stiff min drop springs.

You should always rotate to full soft, then advance to your setting. Never advance from anything but 0 turns at full soft. So... short answer: from full soft.

The upcoming Steeda dual-rate springs, which have of course been tested on the same Koni-based adjustable Steeda Pro-Action shocks I have, would certainly pair with Koni Yellows. I asked SteedaTech that very question, since lots of folks got Yellows before Pro-Actions were available - answer was yes.
