I wasn't going to winter my S550 but I picked it up in November. Going through a Divorce and ex got my Ram, I got the house. Cant buy a second vehicle until divorce is final. The mustang actually drives really great in the snow even on all season p zeros!

This is about as bad as it gets around these parts most winters, this pretty much melted by the end of the day. Glad I had my all seasons on, the morning commute would have turned my car into a big V8 powered sled with my regular MPSS set up

Yes, Lake Arrowhead in the mountains at just over a mile high. Big bear, the next mountain over got several feet. We still have over a foot on the ground a week later.

I work from home so I don't have to go anywhere.

Non-PP GT Brakes. I'm fairly certain the minimum rim size for me is 18" and the minimum for you (PP GT owners) is 19". I'm sure there are 19" steelies but no, the ones I have (I suspect) will not fit your car.

The traction on the summer tires in cold temps is considerably better than it seems some of you realize. I've driven it down into the 30's and it's fine. I still hit my 100mph on ramp blast once the pressure is up to normal. But on my 8 miles of back road as the tires are warming up the traction isn't way worse than normal. The breaking loose really is just mostly when taking off from a stop if you give it too much gas. At normal speeds it's not like you'll be sliding around in the turns or anything.

As for snow driving, I don't do it in the car. I'm fortunate enough to have a second vehicle, which is a 4WD Tacoma. I pretty well stick to it under 40 degrees. It's not so much the behavior of the tires in normal driving that gets me. It's mostly that it's not warm enough to put the hammer down as much or roll the windows down some when I get off the higway.

We got quite a bit last year. The car was buried and while cleaning it off I decided to sculpt a little shark fin. Can't tell form the shitty pics but it's just in the center of the roof and hung over the back glass about a foot. It surprised me by staying up there for 2 days. Must've surprised other people too because I got lots of looks, thumbs up, honks, etc..

My Dad and Grandmother are from San Bernardino and spent a few summers up that way but never in the winter. I always forget how high those mountains are once your off the coast.

My 5.0 stays on a rack all winter. Sorry for the skate pic, but it's the only one I have handy.

Anyway, my Mustang is not sleeping under that cover.... it's WAITING.
