Anyone have any recommendations on a reputable shop to install the FR Track pack and BMR CB005? I'm not mechanically inclined, and I don't really own the tools to do it myself. Northern California/ SF Bay/ Sacramento area

I will admit that the camera angles are not perfect, and they are iphone photos. Honestly, I never actually intended to take before and after pictures they just ended up looking similar so I went with it.

You can see that the drop is not super extreme, but does fix the 4x4 look. What this suspension does give is vastly improved handling. I'm not trying to do any trickery of the camera, my front drop was about 1.5" and the rear drop was about 1".

Just to trying to look out for my fellow enthusiasts and not step on any vendors toes, Levittownfordsupercenter had the best price on the kit and they offer a discount if you PM them on this forum. Yes, you pay about $90 for shipping but it is still the best deal, crunch your own numbers and make an informed purchase.

Hey can you do me a favor and look at my pics and tell me if it looks similar to yours? I think the rear dropped all the way but I am not sure. It looks slightly lower in the front.

Agreed with the review, I'm also very happy with my FR Track suspension (levittown had the best price at the time). Those locks for the front sway bar are cool and now I'm getting a pair. Always wondered if there was lateral movement and those should eliminate the possibility.

Honestly both of your cars do look lower than mine in the rear. I'll post pics tomorrow, but I have a 2 finger gap between my tires and fender in the rear, but can't get 2 fingers in the front. It's been lowered for a little over 2 weeks.

I just checked mine, it dropped more the front than the rear. Front left and front right are different and left rear and right rear are off as well. I need to get this fixed. I assume that the bushings were not clocked like the shop said they were. Another shop that can't do the job right.

That's weird, your rears should have less gap than the front. Camber gain from the drop could be a factor here, depends on how you measure the gap. Have you done alignment and reclock?

Pics look like you're in Houston, I think I know where were the pics taken...might be wrong thou.

I'll take some measurements to see how big the rear gap is. I measured it a few days after the drop, the front did drop more than the rear but the front and rear wheels are bilaterally symmetrical.

I don't think you have anything to worry about, sounds like it's driving like it's supposed to. Those gaps sound about the same. I'm running larger and wider tires than stock on 20s so that may be adding to the fuller wheel well look plus the angle of the pic.

My mistake then, thought it was a shopping strip near where I work...had the same layout and construction.

I think if they look laterally symmetrical, there's not much to do.

Supposedly, they are marketed as 1" drop on all 4's (which will lead of a bigger gap up front due to the wheel well just being larger to begin with). It could be that the overall drop is 1", not necessarily the same on front/back.

On the other side, I actually want the rear gap to be just a wee bit taller than the front, for aesthetic reasons alone :lol:, if it was me, I'd leave it the way it is and maybe just tune the appearance with alignment.

Also, the CB005 does raise the rear ever so slightly.

It's not. If that happens it is something else causing it.

I spent 8 hours testing this myth on both of my cars and the only discrepancies in ride height were caused from pulling the cars on and off the lift and ramps (temporary changes). I tested it on our cars here at BMR, and on my cars at my house.

That said, I am not saying it is impossible. But given the design of the kit, and my results, I am going to say any change is simply part of margin of errors and/or installation related.

I believe I'm the originator of the rumor, I posted about it last year.:headbonk:

My friend is lowered with SP080, he reported a ride height increase of 1-2mm after installing the CB005. We never figured out exactly why it happened thou...

I have had a few people report it, and also seen others post it.

The problem is, the kit does not even change the bushing heights more than that 1-2mm amount. So, if that 1-2mm happened...the height of the cradle would have to change like 1" - which is not even possible.

I had to shim my cradle in my blue car .562" to get a measurable amount of ride height change. When I say measurable, I mean about 1/2 to 1mm.
