So about a month ago my ZL1 was totaled....which means its time for a new toy. I've narrowed it down to either a c6 Grand sport (No Z06 cause I want an auto), a 6 gen Camaro SS(please don't be biased), and dare I say it a 6 gen mustang GT (once again please don't be biased.) I want an automatic and the overall idea of the car will be that its a weekend warrior, I'd like it in the range of 700-800 RWHP but I'm not sure what route to take. I like the looks of all the cars so it would really come down to which would be the cheapest and most reliable to get me to my goal stated above. Just curious as to what yall would recommend and why. Two cars I've been looking specifically looking at are 2016 mustang gt with 7k miles and they're asking $27k for it. Also a c6 grand sport with a stage 4 btr cam, ported and polished heads, 3200 stall, injectors, titanium rods and springs, and supposedly more goodies. (Dealer says there's 18k worth of mods and that they have receipts) and its going for $38K with 27k miles. Please help!!

Grand sport no doubt. It's reliable, fast and gets the best MPG out of all of them!

You're not interested in buying new?

Sounds like that C6 is already on it's way to being where you want it to be, but with thre extra $10k into the GT, that has way less on the odometer, you'll probably be in a better spot there and can do what you want with it.

$11k worth of mods to the Mustang to equal price, with 20k less miles, who knows what all is done to this c6, I personally am not a huge Corvette fan but I say go with the GT providing it's stock.

Grand Sport for days that you want to go fast and the Mustang as your daily driver.

Works great for me.

Buying a new GT sure, vette is a little out of my price range. Yeah and that's what I was thinking about the additional $10k too. I just wouldn't know what to do......TT, some sorta blower set up or what.

Say you could only keep one, which would you choose?

Yeah, I was thinking for 27k, depending on options, you might find a new GT somewhere around that price rather than a used with 7k miles.

With the extra $10k difference you should be able to find a F/I setup you'd be happy with. All depends on the type of driving you'd want to do really.

as a previous GT owner and now 6g Camaro SS owner - the Camaro is WAYYYY better stock for stock...

if you can afford the Vette, obviously get that. I havent had this gen yet but I had a c6 and c5 and loved them.

So I bought the Vette new in 2006, I was 52, now I am 62 and bought a new Mustang GT. If I was still 52, the Vette, but at 62 the Mustang. Easier to get in and out of and if I need to take a grandchild it sorta has a back seat.

I drive the Vette on really nice days and drive the Mustang as my daily driver when there isn't snow on the ground. We also have an Escape titanium and Ram truck, so we drive them exclusively during the winter.

Don't laugh, but going to LA in the morning to look at a 2006 Ferrari F430. I love being old!

Personally I like to build my cars myself, rather than buy something already extensively modded. I enjoy choosing everything and putting my touch on the car.

Get a low mileage GT, put on a power adder with supporting mods. Solid choice.

Man if that isn't goals I don't know what is. I'm only 22 but I understand what you're saying as far as the convenience of ease of access with the mustang. Hell going from my lifted f150 to the ZL1 was a night and day difference and I didn't care for it to say the least lol.

That's very subjective. I was underwhelmed by the 6G Camaro when I drove it, especially considering the hype. It had it's good points, certainly, but I wouldn't take it over a GT even though it's objectively a faster car.
