Hellcats make 707hp stock, and I think they run fine

If I got the 670hp version and didn't drive like an idiot, I'd be pretty confident in the motor.
Yeah, but hellcats are designed for it. They have forged pistons. The supercharger has dual intercoolers. And the car has dual radiators along with an engine oil cooler.

I'm certainly not an expert. Looking at this Ford deal I think it does come with an intercooler. But I'm not sure that does anything for temperature under the hood, I wonder if the stock cooling is enough.

A friend of mine had a 93 Celica Alltrac. Stock turbo 4 cylinder - 200hp. The engine would run fine for a while, but after he'd put so many miles on it (maybe 70k) The heat from the engine cooked all the rubber and the whole thing needed rebuilding. This is stock, not boosted beyond the factory.

Personally I'm leery about slapping on forced induction onto a motor not designed for it without looking at what can break. 727 hp is a lot of extra power. The Hellcat was designed from the factory to withstand the extra power. The GT isn't.

I just wonder about the long term effects of it all. It's not my car, or my problem. I hope it works out great for you and the other peeps in the thread.

If you don't need the rear seats or trunk then the vette for sure. Less compromises for the vette. Camaro and Mustang have to try and be practical as well as fast. Hard to argue with a sub-3400lb, lower CG, better weight distribution car as a firm starting point.
