Try using your hairdryer or a heat gun on it to melt the tape a bit.

Has anyone installed these on an RTR Grille? I can't seem to align it right anywhere on the pattern.

Refer to my picture I posted a couple of pages ago. Fits perfect on the RTR Grille. Just take measurements!

The version of the badge I ordered has bolts in the back and I can't seem to align it with the mesh pattern on the RTR grille.

I just tried to align it exactly where you have yours and it's not happening.

EDIT: I'm thinking that you lucked out on where your bolts were placed. There's no possible way for the bolts to fit on my grille where they are now. I'm pretty sad.

I was wrong. Sorry. I got the 3M version a member told me he got the 3M and it held fine so I got that one.

Thanks for the input still! I'm fairly certain it's not going to work, so it's either I saw one bolt off and use 3m tape on that side, or I'm thinking of filing down the bolt on one side to make it fit to the grille.

Which option do you guys think is better?

I stuck mine to my grill with 3M VHD tape, and a blob of goop adhesive right in the middle. I don't know that it will ever come off. The blob of goop compressed and wrapped around the grill very nicely.

I ended up buying mine through Amazon Payments, and started a A-to-z claim with them to get my money back at this point. I get it that some people have gotten theirs, but hell, 11 days after you pay and no way to get in contact or get a status update. Not to mention the various claims through this thread mentioning poor quality control. :thumbdown:

Mine came in today, the ruby red is pretty dark but hopefully is legible on the car. Nice packaging

Based on the what I've seen of the new versions, they are very nice, but I would not trade my V2 for one of them.
