It is a little interesting that I now have a package out from USPS, UPS, and FedEx all at the same time.

the USPS package shipped on 12/16.
the UPS and FedEx packages shipped on 12/20.
paid for the cheapest shipping on all.

The FedEx package is scheduled to arrive tomorrow (12/22)
The UPS package is scheduled to arrive next week (12/28)
The USPS package is scheduled to arrive two days ago (12/19) :lol:

at my dealer and asked for the part; he told me it is on back order until mid feb of 17 and that the part number needed is 19A387; i also have a diagram that he printed out; thought i would report in

after a quick google search it appears to be the dual usb port

I've only used Apple maps a few times and it has led me astray a few times. I'm excited about carplay but with their useless maps, probably won't change my user experience at all

Is there anyway to be able to read texts from Android Auto or the default sync on the touch screen? I assume its set to read out via computer voice for safety reasons but wanted to check.

no, that's the point of AA and CP, not having to look at the screen

AA will always read the text out loud no matter stopped or driving, oem prompts a diaglog box to "view" "hear" "close" but "view" wont work while driving..

AA also works with whats app and skype (and WeChat) so its always the better option for text hearing, as well as letting you talk your reply back

Non-NAV upgrade in 2016 GT Premium. Google Maps is a great feature to have, and I am very grateful to all the guys who participated in "bringing this to market". Wink, wink. One issue I am finding is that it sometimes won't let me say a new destination. It's stuck on wanting to direct me "home", no matter where I am. It might require uninstalling Android Auto from my Samsung S7 Edge, and then reinstalling the App. Or might I have a setting set incorrectly?

Finally, what have we heard from Ford regarding this early "release"? Seems like FOrd wouldn't be too happy. Their party line has remained "by the end of the year", and you guys just helped 'em out cuz you knew how busy they are at the end of the year, having to burn up all of that accrued vacation time.

been lurking since I bought my '16 GT Premium back in May. I did the Non-Nav update successfully and ordered the GJ7Z-19A387-B from Tasca on Sunday. Got it today, installed in less than 2 minutes and Apple Carplay works flawlessly. Strange that the original USB hub has the 2 connections for both front/armrest but the dual USB hub only has the connection for the armrest even though it still has the socket hollowed out for the front. Maybe 2 USB connections is the max connections it can have? Didn't use the front anyway because it renders the tray almost useless with something connected their. Thanks for all the help!

I'd guess the don't care one bit, actually helped them out, with a large number of us doing the DIY update, they don't have to pay dealerships for their time installing the update.

Yes both ports work on the Dual Port GJ7Z-19A387-B.

Yup. I don't get all the excitement and chit-chatter about this. I guess it's a young guy thing and gadgets. The one thing that would have been good is if you could have change the colour scheme on the monitor display.
