Nobody ever responded to my comment. What happens if you do both parts of the update via a flash drive for non nav, but it says congrats you have upgraded 1.0?

Did you shut the vehicle off and walk away for 5-10 minutes after the first and second drives?

There is a lot of post processing that the system has to do after the contents of the drives are loaded.

I did the download, updated it and everything works fine. Not sure why everyone is getting crazy over AA.
I ran it for 1 day and turned it off.
I use the car for audio, phone for waze and phonecalls. It's asking too much of your phone to do everything.
Also once AA is hooked up once with the cord, it fires up via Bluetooth every other time if you set it correctly.

Yes. I've been on 3 drives. At least 30 minutes in between each. The issue I ran into when having the flash drive inserted into the USB slot was it would never say when to eject the flash drive. But my flash drive has a light indicator to tell you when it's processing information. When the light blinks slowly and consistently, it usually means it's done.

Don't look at the light. The update tells you when it's finished. It'll take 20 minutes or so for the first and 7 or so for the second.

I just updated mine, everything works fine, android auto is so nice, but when you unplugged your phone, and you want to use the regular sync NAV, its just say its loading map, it seems kike its not working anymore. And the setting for the map most of the buttons is disabled..i dont know whats wrong with it or how to fix it. Any help please.thank you.

It is for me I never use it because I have a great phone mount that is hard wired to the one in the console.

My single port USB hub was shipped today. Hopefully I'll get it early next week and report in.

The single ported hub should retain use of the front USB port.

Also, since I have a physical part en route I went ahead and upgraded to v2.2 and I have three complaints.

1) the passenger temp is always on now no matter if I'm in dual mode or not. While I can still hold the AUTO button to turn dual climate mode off, it is now more difficult to tell if I'm in dual or single mode when the set temps are equal...

2) the back button does not seem to go back to a previous song when pressed twice. It will only restart the current song twice.

3) While in Auto dimming mode, and Auto Day/Night mode, the screen will not dim in the day. I don't enjoy lights in my face or peripheral vision and generally keep my dash lights as dim as possible while still functional.

I still want to compare the hash of the offical Ford release to this one.

After you cycle the car on off a few times, everything returns to normal

if anyone is using Tasker here i can share with you the automation i have to automatically set the phone GPS to high accuracy based on USB Debugging mode (which automatically turn on when Phone is connected to car USB.) and automatically set the phone GPS to Battery Only when disconnecting.

Or am i the only one who care about automating and not moving a finger (you should see my house lol)

Just to be thorough, I also ordered a HU5Z-19A387-A which was mentioned in another thread somewhere.

fordparts.store says the GR3Z-19A387-B is "On Order"... so we'll see which one can ship first. I don't know if I want to verify both or put all of my eggs in one basket and try the first one. I guess if it comes down to it I can recoup the $70 if they both work by selling it... maybe even profit if somebody is in a hurry looking for stock.

UPDATE: HU5Z-19A387-A is on order, too, but just because nobody carries it. Tasca Parts says 3-5 business days to them, then they'll ship to me. I am going to check my local dealership to see what they can do. I'd love to have this before the 23rd.

OK, so this part number: HU5Z-19A387-A

As far as we know, is the single USB port, with the internal return connector for the front USB port (and might have a blue bezel with the H prefix)

vs. the GJ7Z-19A387-B or HC3Z-19A387-B which are the dual ports without the connector for the front, with only difference between the two being the GJ has white port bezels and the HC has blue.
