NEW SYNC 3.0 Build 20204 Nav Android Auto/Apple Carplay

I mean, does AA still work with the front port after the dual-port hub was installed? Is it possible that all three ports work, but CP must be routed though the MFI port? This one is tough to test because AA folks aren't getting the chip, and CP folks don't have AA.

correct, i'm aware google maps does not work with carplay. I should have clarified that google maps > apple maps.

Unfortunately I do not have access to an android phone to try.

did you have to solder any wires on the USB hub in the middle console?

I did but keep in mind that my car is a base model 2015 V6 with the sync 3 system swapped in. For premium 2016's there should not be any modification required.

My hub was ordered and was suppose to arrive today at the local Ford dealer. They can't find it, imagine that.

UPDATE

So I canceled my order for MODULE - INTERFACE HC3Z19A387B.
Apparently its on back order and nobody is getting them till after X-Mas ?

and...

I went and ordered GJ7Z-19A387-B from Sweeney http://www.waltsweeneyfordparts.com/oe-ford/gj7z19a387b
I'm pretty sure the parts guy said they have a 1000 of these. It's supposed to be the same thing as the HC3Z19A387B but a different color ?

UPS tracking says I'll have the GJ7Z-19A387-B on monday and hopefully that will be the missing piece to get Apple CarPlay as I already have the 2.2 software installed.

Mine works fine using the front port, plays usb music as well.
This is before and after the upgrade.

So I attempted to reinstall the update to my Non-Nav unit today that is still reporting as v1.0 after a seemingly successful install a couple days ago. I first did a factory reset this time. I get the following message after about 5-10 mins into the part one install now. Everything is still working great, including AA, and I tested pretty much every feature in the SYNC interface. I will probably just need to wait for the official Ford release and try installing that and see what happens. Not too worried about it right now since everything seems to be working perfect.

If you already have it installed, then it will not reinstall it. That is what the error is about. The factory reset doesn't reset the OS back to how it was from the factory. It just removes all of the personal settings that you made.

Yes one is blue lighting, the other is white (mostly for lincolns), Im looking for reliable links to buying these let us know if you receive it quick

Yeah I figure that it is somehow installed but for some reason the version information didn't update. Maybe I'll have to wait for v2.3 to update or something.

It's a high quality drive. I even did a full format on it to check every sector for errors before transferring the update files.
