Not according to what Fox was told, but I agree, it just doesn't match what Ford shows on their site. It's up 15% across the board in Torque and HP from what Ford Performance states we should expect.

His wheel numbers are what Ford Performance states we should expect at the crank...I'm wondering if the operator put in a correction factor to show crank numbers for the final dyno run but didn't do so for the baseline numbers?

Sure, a FMIC will add about 20 whp and 20 wtq, but that does not account for what we're seeing in that dyno, which is why I wanted to know if anyone has actually run the 1/4 mile yet.

I suppose in January I can at least prove what it is producing one way or another with the final release of the Ford Performance Calibration. I'm expecting the Ford Performance tune to be right in between stock and my Livernois 91 tune, which is why once my warranty is up I plan on switching back to Livernois.

Why not? Its possible. It did take FP 2 years! to come out with this tune, maybe all their research and testing paid off. Also he had an intercooler which should help.

True, but he was runnin 91 octane on a 90F day. It may be a combination of things, IC, fuel quality, his car and that particular dyno, so I guess it's not so unbelievable. We'll see, just gotta be patient.

If you did install it yourself and documented your work, FP said that shouldn't be an issue to take it in and have them verify it for warranty.

They can easily inspect the CAI and a screen shot of the FP utility saying "successfully completed" should be enough to prove you flashed correctly (as the utility shows your vin, strategy codes etc which are unique to your car).

Who is "them"? It wouldn't be Ford, it's Ford Performance that carries the warranty. I have no idea where to find Ford Performance or are you saying I can do it through email? That would be great, the work is VERY basic.

"them" refers to my particular Ford Performance contact. If you do install it yourself and do a decent job documenting everything, there shouldn't be an issue to bring it in and have them sign off on it.

As you stated the work is basic and doesn't take a great deal of technical expertise. Ford Performance already did the complex parts for us

I'm waiting for the first person to attempt a warranty claim for a self installed pro cal.
Do you really think they will honor the warranty if FP dealer did not install it?
Read the fine print someone, you know what happens when we assume.....

I was told any ASE could install it. It does not have to be Ford. You just have to submit once it is complete with the ASE name and number.

I had an ASE shop do mine and I successfully registered for the warranty just fine.

How can you possibly screw this up? If the software uploads successfully, it is successful. The intake could be installed by my dead grandmother. Good grief...

The only reason to use this tune is to preserve the warranty. If you don't do it by Ford's rules, you will be as SOL as anyone using aftermarket tunes.

What I'm asking is where do you find a Ford Performance place? I've never heard of or seen one. You actually have a shop called Ford Performance near you? I thought Ford Performance was strictly catalog and buying the parts through Ford Dealers?

In my case I do have a Ford performance shop at Manderbach Ford in Reading PA. They even have a dyno. I even asked about my CPO warranty if my motor throws a rod at 70000. They said no issue as long as purchased and installed by them. I said really. They said "yep no warranty issues to worry about at all". A little pricy. 980 installed.
