With the announcement of the GT4 / Mustang, I'm curious to what model of transmission ford is using from Holinger. I'd be interested in going with this same transmission in the future. I've searched the web but can't seem to find anymore info. Any ideas? Possibly the HTA model?

I have a Jericho DR4 in another mustang which is a awesome transmission!
But I'd rather follow the lead of the GT4.

I'd hate to think of the price of that trans. I've heard the gt4 is around 225k.

Btw, do you have the recaro profi seats in your car yet voodooo? I have a few questions if so.

IIRC, the GT4 Mustang has a paddle-shifted manual. Not sure that would be an easy replacement with a car that already has a PCM, but then again, I'm a systems engineer, and with enough money and resources, pretty much any integration is possible!

The HTA can be configured as both I believe. It is likely tied into a Bosch motorsports ecu or similar that takes care of the up shift cut and blip on downshift gear change. I'll see if I can get both questions answered.

If that's the case I'm not sure half the value of the car in ecu and transmission would be worth it? Lol

I still plan on the Recaro profi spa carbon fiber seats. What's the questions lol?
I found direct bolt in sliders and mounts for the profi seats to fit our cars.

I seriously doubt that. The current Porsche GT4 Clubsport, which the Mustang GT4 is comparable to, is priced at $165K. Currently, the price differential between the GT4 and GT350 is around $40K. My guess is the Mustang GT4 will be in the $120K-$130K range. It has to be competitively priced compared to the other GT4 cars (Mercedes, BMW, etc.) to make sense.

That would be nice. Multimatic might have a hard time building enough at that price, though Ford will probably put a limit on how many will be produced, like they always do. :frusty:

That's what I was going to ask, I'm going to do it over the winter. I'm just trying to make sure there are no airbag lights etc. And that they actually fit properly. The seats kill me for any decent driving distance. The boss 302 at fprs was about extremely comfortable by comparison and it used the wide omp seats.

It will be "North of 150k and less than the Porsche" is what I was told just a few moments ago.

The car has motec ecu and data acquisition and bosch abs controller. He didn't know for sure what the actual gear box was but was going to find out.

I think it would be cool to have a sequential but at a certain point you leave the realm of street car and turn into race car. When you have 20k tied up in an ecu and trans it's heading that direction. lol Especially when those boxes become a pita on the street.

The GT4 Clubsport has a base price of $165k or so. Like all Porsche's the add-on are what get costly. I have looked at a few GT4 Clubsports. Used ones are going for $175k-$215k.

Per Holinger rd6 gearbox is used. It's 19k. If you're interested he gave me the contact card. Seems like a shit ton of money for non-competition car.

I'm still interested in the trans. I think it's a worthy mod. http://holingeramerica.com/showroom/hta
They are loud with a lot of gear noise and harsh but quick shifts. Might not be good for a street car.

The Cayman GT4 Clubsport actually is not an SRO "GT4" homologated car. You need to spend another $50K for the "MR" upgrade on top of the $165K to turn it in to a Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR -which is Porsches GT4 homologated car ($215K).
