Sorry if it's been said, but did you also loose OPG?Congrats and enjoy! I might just surpass you with he weekend near. Day 49
No sir. First a failed exhaust cam phaser that locked up. Then the part was replaced and motor was still knocking vigorously. Ford instructed the tech to pull the filter and check for metal and...........!!!! there it was!!!! lots of metal! Talking to a co-worker and former Ford Master Tech, he said it was probably failed main bearing. Possibly due to lack of oil??? Wont know until Ford provides final report. If they even inform me.Sorry if it's been said, but did you also loose OPG?
Failed main bearing leading to metal/debris which then caused the phaser to stick and fail.No sir. First a failed exhaust cam phaser that locked up. OK now it make sense, but why main bearing failure. Was there something or anything you know that may have led to this bearing failure?Failed main bearing leading to metal/debris which then caused the phaser to stick and fail.

Really is just an educated guess. Had no oil problems as I always drive with the systems page up showing vitals.OK now it make sense, but why main bearing failure. Was there something or anything you know that may have led to this bearing failure?
I think that was ToodlesSorry if it's been said, but did you also loose OPG?

Should be able to buff that out with some light polish.Update
I've been breaking in the new engine, I've put 250~ miles on it so far. For break in, after the first 100 miles and once the oil was up to temperature (>190 F), I revved out the engine a few times in 2nd and 3rd gear with part throttle to higher revs (5500-7000) and then let off and engine braked until the revs feel back down around 3000. I also did a few WOT pulls in 2nd and 3rd gear from around 3500-4500 up around 8000 and engine braked back down to 3500~. The engine seems to be running well and there's no noticeable oil loss according to the dip stick. So far the engine is running good and I'm enjoying having the car back. Also, the strong interior smell is going away!
Here's a couple of pics from a long back-road drive yesterday:
And I also just discovered this additional damage this morning, most likely the damage is from the time the car spent at the dealer. It appears to be paint transfer, like from a wall inside a garage.
