Thanks Eric. They've done a decent job (the dealer), if you don't consider how long they've taken. I'd rather have them take their time and get my car back perfect than have them rush and give me the car back with things broken/scratched, etc. I'd say wait until I have a chance to look over the car closely before writing them off. I agree that they could have went the extra mile to get my car back sooner. It's been over 2 weeks since they've had my new engine and I still don't have it back, and they haven't told me of any roadblocks they've encountered that is causing the delay.I had heard nothing but good things about this dealer until your ordeal, Kyle. I was planning on going to them for future service. So now I still don't know of any dealer that can be trusted for competent service in the entire Dallas area. Incredible. I also noticed that one of your engine builders also built mine. (The unreadable name that begins with S ?) Sorry you're getting screwed so bad from both ends. You should probably check your oil filter if/when you get your car back. I doubt very seriously it'll be torqued properly.
Regarding the oil filter, presumably the new engine came with one installed from the factory. I was told the longblock came full of oil. I will ask the tech anyway, I want to find out what all was reused from my original drivetrain, and ask them if they flushed/cleaned out my engine oil cooler.
