Hey everyone,

Just looking for some feedback into my next upgrades for my daily driven 2015 Mustang GT non-PP 6AT.

My current modifications include:

Whipple 2.9L Stage 2, which includes:
Upgraded Fans
Upgraded Throttle Body
Upgraded Intercooler Pump
Upgraded High-Flow Injectors
Whipple Calibration for 91 Octane (WA state 92 Octane)
3.75 pulley
Stainless Werks LH cat-less headers
Magnaflow Competition series exhaust
Upgraded OPG/Timing Sprocket/Balancer
F19x10 R19x11 MMR 350s with Toyo Proxes Tires

All this is good for 721hp/541tq on the dyno.

I am thinking go big or go home when it comes to being as efficient as possible when it comes to getting my power to the ground.

Looking to go with the following:

2015+ Mustang GT Automatic DSS 9 inch Rear Conversion Kit:
- 3.8" Carbon Fiber Driveshaft
- 9" Strange Bolt-Thru Aluminum Case with Wavetrac Differential
- Unsure of what gear ratio I want at the moment....

Lethal Performance full BMR Suspension upgrade (ViKing shocks, etc) similar to what BMR runs on their car.

Finally, I want to go down a pulley or two. I was thinking I could just put a can of Octanium with each fill-up. There is a 93 Octane store nearby, but if I just carried a couple of cans of Octanium around, how low of a pulley could I realistically go?

At this point do I need to go with a different converter for the transmission?

Any feedback/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Rob

I had similar thoughts and questions. Then decided screw it had motor built, got fore triple pump fuel system converted to e85. Now im on 20 % od ati with 3.0 upper thinking of going to 2.8 upper.

If your spending all that money in suspension that's the right way to go, i would just advise go e85 route if you can. The way i always understood it is even with octanium you dont have a stirrer in your gas tank, what happens if some pure 93 goes through the motor and your at say 20psi of boost.i dont think it would be good.

Oddly enough, there isn't reliable E85 near where I live and work.

Of course I would want to go that route if I want more safe, reliable power, but I would lose the Whipple Flight Control & Tune, which I want to retain.

Yeah i bet flight control is pretty awesome.

I thought your post was about how to make more power and my concern would be the octanium though i am curious how high people have pushed boost with octaniym

Might be able to turn to meth if u can't get ahold of E85 reliably near u. U could get E98 in bulk if need be but that's still I think $3+ a gallon, all those race fuels cost an arm and leg honestly and just sucks to burn through that crap.

I'd honestly get another tune besides the whipple setup, Sai Li would be my choice as his tunes the best I've had on the market and I've had a few shops tunes on my various setups over the years.

If you have ever run the Whipple Tune/Flight Control, you would never run anything else again. It is amazing, plus they have just released a tune update for the auto shifting issues.

Whats next? Depends on your goals. If it is dyno numbers, keep throwing parts at it. If it is 1/4 mile times, get to the track and start getting seat time. You most likely already have more power than you can get down, so driving techniques, suspension tuning, etc is where I would go next. I threw the whipple on mine, first time to the track it was 11.9's, now I am down to 11.1's @ 135mph, and I haven't added another single part.

Yeah I plan to go to the track eventually when I can actually spend some time in the states. I am currently overseas for an undisclosed amount of time.

Suspension would be a big one. For power, a cheap and simple addition would be 91 or 92 octane with a can of Octanium and the 3.625 pulley (I do that actually).

Yeah I am going with the Lethal Performance S550 Mustang Suspension Package - 600+ HP (Street/Track - Handling)

I think it will be HUGE!

on an auto, i really think the halfshafts will do the job, just the reg ones, but we can def set you up with the dss rear end if you'd like one.

we have our full bmr / dss setup on our car, it's the quickest s/c s550 running the oem rear end.

1.3 60's, tons of passes, mid 8 sec ets, and we only expect to get quicker.

we did upgrade to the iron diff and wavetrac, which we keep in stock
