Unless, so few people ordered that Ford feels that maintaing or looking after those colors and keeping extra paint on hand for repairs etc. would cost more than it is worth.Well, that's good news.Grabber blue (Atoll blau) is again available to be ordered in Germany. I was at dealer yesterday and salesman showed me the order option on his computer. Grabber blue shows as as color option on Ford Germany car configurator online. Also, there is no extra charge for this color option.![]()
Well, that's good news.
It's all very strange though, as we've already had a few RHD Grabber Blue ones delivered in the UK.

I'll still put my money on the supplier wanting to charge more for the additional amount of paint to meet the European demand and Ford saying no. The supplier blinked first or they came to a compromise so its back on the menu.I didn't even bother to ask him why. I'm sure the explanation would have been just as confusing as the decision to discontinue that color in the first place.![]()
I wonder how the customers are taking this that had their order cancelled and were told they must choose another color ? It would be interesting to know how many customers cancelled their order alltogether. Imagine, you had your heart set on Grabber Blue and ended up choosing a backup color that you really wern't crazy about only to be jerked around and 5 months later Ford reverses the decision and you are stuck with your backup choice. I would be none too pleased to put it mildly.I'll still put my money on the supplier wanting to charge more for the additional amount of paint to meet the European demand and Ford saying no. The supplier blinked first or they came to a compromise so its back on the menu.
