Hey everyone,
Just trying to gauge whether or not others running full stage 3 Cobb parts with the Cobb off the shelf stage 3 tune have similar results. I know altitude and weather and all that impacts this but just generalizing overall.
For those not familiar with the stage 3 parts:
- Cobb cold air intake
- Cobb catted downpipe
- Cobb turboback exhaust
- Cobb FMIC
I'm running the 93 octane tune and have seen varying results. I'm judging solely based on seat of the pants feeling and the "estimated torque" monitor which I also understand won't be accurate but similar to a dyno would hopefully give me a comparable point between when I ran stage 1 vs stage 3
I live in Texas so the summer weather is never a good time to test. Recently it started cooling off so I decided to see what numbers I could get.
For some reason even on a cold morning with ambient temps in the 60s and CATs in the 60-70 range I still get max boost of about 17.45. Which lead to 320-330 or so estimated torque. Cobb states roughly 378 torque and 336 hp for this tune so it seems like I would hit that if boost would actually reach 21psi or so but it just doesn't. Anyone else have a similar issue? Links below show my access port results. Silver faceplate access port is my stage 3 setup. Blue accessport faceplate was my Cobb stage 1 setup with only CAI and 93 tune. CATs were much lower but I saw estimated torque above 400. Just looking for feedback as this is my first tuned turbo vehicle. Thanks in advance!
