I've been stuck in a hotel for the last month for work training, and I have several more weeks to go. The only thing I keep thinking is "damn I wish I drove down here instead of flying". I only got to put 2500 miles on the car since new. My one real concession to buying nice things in life is my car, since I work a lot of hours I figure I can at least enjoy the ride to and from.

I rented an economy Chevy Cruz twice now over weekends -thank you $9.99 enterprise weekend deal- so I can get out in town but its so bland and boring to drive (not to mention its really hard to gauge traffic gaps for 110hp). I want my stang back! :ford:

A lot of the guys in training with me don't get it, they see a car as a box with wheels to get from A to B so you want the cheapest one you could possibly get to do the job. The only guy who does is huge into bikes and said the same thing, he wishes he rode down so he could have some enjoyment.

I work out of town 3-4 days a week and use a boring Escape SUV for work. Usually soon as i get home i take a quick ride to get a few things. It's good therapy for me :headbang:

That's kind of how I am. I drove the Mustang this morning but felt like I should've ridden the B-King, or the Multistrada, or even the CX500T.

There are also days when I drive and I think I should've taken the Mazda 6 if I'm stuck in traffic.

I was without my GT for almost a month while it was in the shop, and I had serious withdrawal, like headaches, hot flashes, and the shakes. Everytime I saw one on the road I cried.

But seriously, the wait wouldn't have been so bad had the insurance company not set me up with an old Chevy Cruze that took 30 seconds to reach 60mph. Every minute spent in that race red 40+mpg sack of potatoes shaved a year off my life.

I take my car out every morning for a 45 minute drive if it's good weather, if not I get the shakes, lol.

I didn't have mine two days while some warrantee work was done, and they gave me a Ram 1500 V6 as a loaner.

As soon as I got it back today, I went the long way home with the higher speed limits and less traffic.

Just found out that selected Hertz offices have a 'Hertz' gold-striped GT350 for rent.

I had a Ford Fiesta for a rental for two days. That car made me love my mustang so much more.

Sometimes we dont realize how attached we can get to our cars until we are without them! I know i missed mine when i took it to get a build done that eventually was taking to long! I had to get the car after it being there for a month untouched! Happy i got it back now i have a new date with another shop!

I try to drive mine everyday. As long as it is not going to rain. It is my stress reliever!

If your car is in the shop a lot it eventually gets easier to go without it, but the time apart always sucks a little. Especially if it is your primary toy.
