You don’t want to know
passengers really matter, i hit over 250 with a full car cruising at 80 for 45 minutes and it was only in the 80s.
I understand your feeling that you're not getting the correct level of performance from your GT 350, but your experiences (and others here) likely would be excluded from being used in a lawsuit, because you're operating outside the law - unless Ohio has some 80+ speed limits we don't know about. Do you have any "real-world," on-the-street situations to report? We need more of those from you and anyone else who has them - especially if there are safety implications.

True, there are some problematic issues that make our case not as great as those for mass production defects. But, as far as I see it, Ford's liability here is black and white.
I think it's so far from black and white and there's such a small number of potential "victims" that this whole situation is barely even gray. In addition, how many dozens (hundreds) of Tech owners are there who never had a limp mode problem for every one who did? The odds are not in your favor. If anyone seriously thinks this will develop into a class action suit that will actually see a courtroom (or even be filed), I suggest you buy studded snow tires for your car because that's the day hell will freeze over.

I posted the technical data for the fluid on another post, viscosity and protective properties are quite different at 240-260 degrees versus the 160-180 norm with coolers. It is impossible that the non cooled transmissions will not have a shorter life span with the same maintenance interval.
Could you please post the link?
Thanks Superman:thumbsup:

HAVE YOU DONE YOUR PART?

Have you taken action yet? If not it is time to do so. This is a list of things that need to be done.

1- File a complaint with NHTSA. USMCO341 link at post #847.

2- Send Mark Fields an email. lemers link at post #826.

3-Call Ford Performance 1-800-367-3788. It was suggested the calls would be made in mass on Sept. 12th. How do you guys feel about that date?

4-Submit a story to Ford Social. The more submissions they get the better. It may draw some attention even if they don't print it.

Posting on this forum alone will not be enough to get our issue fixed. We all need to get the above list completed.

I'm not up-to-speed on your situation. What exactly was the problem, the repair and the further damage?
Hi Mattlqx, i'll try to make it brief. Brought car back 4 months after delivery to put front splitter on and oil change. Service put splitter on wrong. Power drove screws thru bumper cover. Put gt500 oil filter on instead of 350 oil filter. Had to cut it off with tin shears and rethread filter threads. While car was at dealer for 3 days had them do ceramic coating since wheel was delivered with gouge in it. Supposedly coating warranty would cover wheel replacement?

Brought car back in for new bumper cover. Car was thrashed with reduced power light and wrench on dash and no gas when I picked it up. Dealer had car detailed? Car has a bunch of weird dots, circles on it that look like water spots. Not water spots. It is burn thru of clearcoat. Lots of bad and trying to get it back up to snuff. Dealer claims they are going to make car perfect but been waiting for 10 weeks. Just not good situation. Car will probably go to a buddy of mine at Roush for paint refinish, coolers and complete dial in November. I tried getting ford involved but just washed their hands of this. What bothers me is I had an approved application, funds and vin on a Gt black w graphite stripes as well as a pre order on a new Lincoln continental. Delivery late September on gt. I told dealer give the deposit back and sell the car. I'm pretty much done since no resolution or what seems any hope in sight. So Ford flushed approx. $600k in biz down the drain plus delivery vehicles for the corporation I work at which is about 30 transits a year.

Just really confused on how people treat or support customers in business. Just ridiculous. Looks like Dodge is going to get ALL my business as well as the new vans which I already have lined up for Sprinter vans.
sorry for the long story.

Unfortunately, I agree with this. The "class" just isn't big enough to make it happen IMO. I think it will come down to someone in Ford making a moral decision on whether to make this right or not and I'm not holding my breath for that to happen.

Also, I don't think the people at Ford Performance are neccasarily to blame here. They are probably just as mad at some of the decisions as we are. Their reputation is taking a major hit because of decisions at corporate Ford. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing I'm not.

Agree w you Jason. Reputation being the operative word. Corporate essentially conceded they messed up when they gave the approval to have all GT350 trims come w the three coolers. Like many have said, a fraction of '15&'16 base/tech owners want the fix...Ford should man up, cost share the retro fit with all of us and just move on from here instead of the wall of silence, "f@#k you" we've all heard.

Exactly the reason I don't want to take my car in for my rattle issues.

When I ordered my car, I struggled with the tech vs track pack but chose to gotech because I knew I would drive it a lot and wanted it to be comfortable. Until I read about the excess temps, I was not upset with Ford because I saw the logic of offering a car that would never get to a track, although I made the bad assumption that coolers could be added later. Tired of the wait, I have begun to talk to dealers about a '17. But they try to screw you twice on a trade, lowballing you on the trade value while still expecting the adm. Not sure what I am going to do, my car already has 8k on it, love driving it and I have not had a single issue with it. Would be really pissed if I traded up for a car with issues, ha !

My car is at the dealership now for warranty work. I'm scared to death they are going to screw it up worse than it is but hands are tied. They will never service the car though. Anything I can do I will do.

I guess this is why I was bombarded by Shelby/Mustang/Raptor/ST people when I was an adviser. My entire customer base was all performance cars that I handled with silk gloves and texted my customers daily of work being down and updates... Really a shame some of the stories in here. I wish all of you better luck.

I have had no feedback on calling Ford Performance on Sept. 12th. Have you guys given up?
