2nd time's the charm!

This is a follow up to an earlier post when the first car I ordered was damaged in transit:

The dealer got another order in two days after the first one came in. It went in with priority 01 just like the first order so I was hopeful it wouldn't take too long. Turns out it was only 7 weeks from second order to delivery. This one came in with no issues. I picked it up on Friday night and spent Saturday morning detailing it since I told the dealer not to even wash it.

As I pull into the dealership to inspect the new car I see my first one on the lot (repaired) with an asking price of $64,495. According to the sales manager they just sold it - and they did disclose the damage and repair. I didn't ask them what they got for it, but I was shocked to see them asking $5k over sticker for it. I wouldn't be surprised if they got MSRP for it.

Haven't had time to install the splitter, but here's a few photos after getting it cleaned up. I'm really liking the color.

Haha, our cars will be twins when I get mine; I ordered a stripe-less Lightning Blue as well. It seems like most cars have been ordered with stripes, so it's nice to stand out from the crowd a bit.

What kind of condition was the paint in from the factory? I'll have quite the drive back from the dealer I ordered at, so I though to arrange a clear-bra install before hitting the road, but don't want to waste money putting it on top of paint that needs correction works...

What kind of condition was the paint in from the factory? I'll have quite the drive back from the dealer I ordered at, so I though to arrange a clear-bra install before hitting the road, but don't want to waste money putting it on top of paint that needs correction works...

Use blue masking tape till you get home.

Paint is actually surprisingly good. I wouldn't let the dealer wash it so I could keep it that way. I'm torn right now because I can't get Xpel installed for a few weeks (installer is backed up), but really want to drive it and get it broken in. Just afraid of picking up chips in the paint before it gets wrapped.

Thanks. I really agonized over whether to find a '16 in DIB or order a '17 in LB even though I couldn't see the color first. Really glad I went with LB. Even better than I hoped for. I also was on the fence about getting the black roof, but decided to just stick with pure LB. Would love to see pics of yours when you get it. Haven't seen that combo of no stripes and black roof on LB.

Congrats! That is one awesome looking color! I can only imagine it looks better in person. That would look even sicker with gloss black project 6gr wheels!
